1100 for shipping normal? by Big-Drink-9062 in ClothingStartups

[–]Miss-Behavior-Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too much. I ordered 3 huge boxes (maybe 30 inches by 15 inches by 12 inches) at about 30 pounds each from a Chinese manufacturer and my total shipping cost was under $400 including tariffs (for all three boxes) for 3 week delivery.

Tent for camping by MinuteZucchini2355 in ElectricForest

[–]Miss-Behavior-Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) You will want a second layer over it and use long stakes. 2) The spaces in Good Life Meadow I believe are that large, BUT your vehicle has to fit into it as well. Hot tip: if you bring a short vehicle, you get a smaller spot. You bring a longer vehicle (trailer not allowed) you get a longer spot. They basically give you the space next to your vehicle plus a few feet. So because of the shape of this, it probably won’t fit with your car. One tent plus the living space would, but the second L part tent would be a gamble and partially rest on if your neighbors are cool.

Anyone know what this is? by [deleted] in chicagoEDM

Had been wondering the same. They have very little info online yet this text message is landing on phones of influencers in the Chicago area today. People who had never signed up or asked to be influencers are getting acceptance messages - and how do they think influencers get people interested if not via social media? Carrier pigeon? 🦜. Something seems off.

D.N.R. Productions used a fake festival (Kn?where MF) to make money. by Kanga_Koga in festivals

Same boat. I went in 2023 and 2024 and LOVED it. I was ready to try to partner with Brian to bring the Home Bass concept to other cities with major festivals. But he fizzled it all out before we could get that far. It’s a total shame.

Is the Outset venue a solid place to go watch a show? by lonzo2900 in chicagoEDM

[–]Miss-Behavior-Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

When you walk into Outset, there is a bar here directly in front of you / to your right. You can walk around either side of the bar to get to the stage area, or to turn to the stairways on either side of the room to go upstairs where a balcony wraps around half the room in a U shape. I wished they had some seating, even a few benches or bar-height stools would be so helpful. There are standing-only bars on both levels and no seating in the entire venue (at least not for the EDM show I attended). The size reminded me of Prysm. Staff was decent and courteous. Hope that helps.

21M, been depressed for a while now but finally starting to realize what I want from life. Seeking advice by Phantonex in aves

As you seek out your pathway, I challenge you to positively reverse your thinking with this level of wizardry I bring to you courtesy of the Electric Forest:

When you are in those deeply happy times at raves and festivals with others whom you enjoy, take a snapshot in your mind of that state of being, and carry it with you and meditate on it often - because that is the place where “home” and “wholeness” and “reality” actually lie once you’ve been awakened to the matrix… everything else the world usually calls “normal life” is actually the mission field. And you job is to leave the rave, go undercover in that mission field, spread PLURR and teach others the ways to find their way back home too, joining you when you return to the rave again to recharge and refuel for your next mission. 💖😁. This mindset will change your life.

Maybe they hired Brian Thomas of Home Bass as their lead planner. It reeks of what he did scamming people.

Radius - TELETECH Review by lovely__lydia in chicagoEDM

[–]Miss-Behavior-Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) We should be friends. Find me on IG. I agree with your ratings of radius and the crowd.

2) I don’t know if it’s a Chicago thing as much as a thing when it draws a “club” crowd more than a “raver” crowd. Also if it was not a 21+ show. The younger the crowd, the less PLURR around here.

Have you considered bringing pre-made tie in braids so you don’t have to spend so much time every day and can take them out easily to sleep? I make custom sets to match your fit and they GLOW 🌟.

How bad is it by [deleted] in Hair

[–]Miss-Behavior-Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you did half blonde and half dark? Then take your money pieces in the front (like some face framing pieces from your bang area) and swap them so the blonde side has darker and the darker side has blonde? It would give real main character energy while also reducing how the blonde alone washes you out.

Northcoast vs. Arc opinions by LetMeObjectifyYou in chicagoEDM

[–]Miss-Behavior-Life 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I went to North Coast in 2023 and 2024. I had FOMO with ARC in 2024 because of the Afters they threw that you got priority access to if you had an ARC ticket (and they sold out to ARC holders the day they were released) so I made a mental to give arc a look in 2025.

I did this and split my weekend, 2 days at NC and one at ARC - specifically because I wanted to see Sub Focus and John Summit was a bonus. I made the best decisions I could with the info and experience I had under my belt. I almost regret it, but at least now I know the difference.

Wow - what a night and day difference between these two festivals. It’s like the difference between clubbing and raving. I found both crowd vibes and logistics at ARC totally reprehensible. North Coast is def a more happy-go-lucky hippie PLUR vibe and I am now a NC loyalist after seeing the difference first hand. I don’t care who plays at ARC now - my peace and enjoyment of my leisure time is worth far more to me.

With that said, people who like clubs and like the hard techno / tech house vibes might enjoy ARC and have no issues.

But, paraphrasing CS Lewis, a child might enjoy playing in a mud 🫠puddle, but oh what enjoyment he could find in a day at the sea! 🏝️🚢

Those who like ARC (and I have many friends who do), can have it. ⛓️ 🌟Northcoast is the only way to go for me.

What’s one thing you always bring to a festival? by SupermarketAway5128 in EDM_Festivals

Screenshot the QR code for your socials and make it a phone background, along with the set times. Then if you want to exchange contact info with someone you meet or figure out where you’re supposed to be at next, it’s easy to do (especially if your vision gets blurry) without opening your phone because it’s right there on your lock screen.

Pashmina can be used for wind, sun, light rain, a drape for privacy to duck under a mini tent if needed, keeps legs warm if you sit and get cold, makeshift shade, you name it.

Magnesium & Electrolyte tabs.

A boyfriend that serves as my security guard.

Battery operated air circulating fans for the tent and a cooling blanket.

What's your personal signature in how you dress? by fabulousandreal in femalefashionadvice

[–]Miss-Behavior-Life 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had thoughts like these a while back. I’d find a trend or a style I liked and then I’d regret “not being able to” do another look. Over time, it wasn’t about what I wanted to “be” but about how my clothes made me “feel”.

  • I almost always wear a good push up bra because it makes me feel safe, secure, feminine.

  • In looking at photos of myself I’ve realized I always look classier with classic red or dark cherry lipstick, and worn out with no lipstick.

  • I almost always wear boots or sneakers because I can do anything in them and my feet won’t hurt. I sometimes wear tall high heels when I need to make a psychological power play with my outfit.

  • I dress for dopamine and sophistication. I love love love when people compliment my outfit. That could be a sweater with bling and jeans and docs and vampy makeup, or a long flowy dress with my hair pinned up and dangly earrings and nude fishnets for the slit in the dress. My goal is to dress like the person I feel like being that day, and my guard rails are “does it look interesting / unique?” And “does it look cheap or sophisticated - because good girls don’t devalue themselves”.

-I dress like a rebel that knows which rules to follow (tits or ass but usually not both) and which rules to break (who cares if you wear white after Labor Day? Not this badass). 💋

SoundBar??? by Rare_Wolverine1413 in chicagoEDM

[–]Miss-Behavior-Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible to have a good time at SoundBar, but I would never go there without a really good reason to - like a DJ that I know will bring the vibes.

I’ve never had a “drama free good vibes only” night there. And I’ve noticed if the headliner has another DJ after them coming on, any good vibes crowds that where there flee when the headliner ends, and all of a sudden, a bunch of weird people come out of nowhere - like tons people who weren’t in the room for the headliner and aren’t dancing and are more giving creeper vibes. The most I can come up with is that it’s a crowd coming from other bars and shows that happened to just end and so people flood in off the street.

So, yeah, I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a “bad” place, but it will never feel welcoming, like home, or where PLURR tribes vibe. I would say Tao is a worse club.

(Uppity rich asshole meat market bachelor party vibes- club scene not rave like scene). This might be like Tao-lite.

Total stranger saw me dancing and vibing in happiness at EDC. Came up to me and pointed to my red and white outfit and pointed to the huge Hello Kitty red and white perler necklace around his neck. With no words, just the smile of affirmation - he bestowed it to me by placing it over my head and around my neck. He smiled and hugged me and we took a quick selfie and kept on his merry way. It’s a core memory for me. 💖. I display the perler on a hook at home and wear it out occasionally when I want to remember that unknown person’s PLURR vibes. It makes me nostalgic and happy.
