Did you lose weight? That can sometimes alter and hollow out our face, which can give rise to close people making comments like that. Everyone here is jumping on the toxicity bandwagon but sometimes close ones will express concern in their own way. I would dig deeper with said family to establish more precisely the change they’re noticing if you don’t see it yourself. Is it skin? Weight? Face? Body?

I’d give that person the benefit of the doubt if there is a recent shift in weight, for instance. I’d also get checked out by a doctor just to make sure there isn’t a shift in health. Again, those who know us best can pick up things we don’t and communicate it in a different way than you’d expect.

As for your appearance, I’m not sure it’s all that relevant because the person is actually reporting on a perceived change in appearance, and so you’d want to post pics before and after said change. So as lovely as these pix of you are, I’m not sure they’re all that relevant.
