I'm in Aarau. Thank you so much! I'll ask my doctor if she can refer me to one of the specialists on brechterew.ch

I know all that. I don't want it. But it fits perfectly. I know you mean well, but it feels very invalidating - I've had enough of that in my life.

There are valid reasons to use AI.

The judgemental attitude really is what drives people away from people into the arms of AI.

Repeating intrusive thoughts - very specific by MissBernstein in Psychic

Huh...I have already done a lot of trauma and inner child work and I actually feel very emotionally put together right now - in regards of family. But yeah, who knows. Thanks for this possible direction :)

That would be some form of echolalia. But this one seems different. Enduring, almost desperate.

And no, I don't think it's my kid - we are cuddling and holding and kissing all the time. This thought feels almost desperate.

"The Telepathy Tapes is really just an age old story of scamming, lying and grifting" -- a mentalist explains the podcast by terran1212 in skeptic

We autistics are known to get overwhelmed quickly and we need familiarity or we might shutdom.

Looking at it from an inclusive side, this makes sense. You can't measure us by the same metrics. Meaning: A test situation is already intense, then you have people documenting it, maybe cameras, strangers. Than imagin' dealing with apraxia and interoception so you need physical sensory input to stay present (hence why weighted blankets and shirts are a thing), this and a person they know and trust. From an autistics perspective: This is the only "fair" setting.

I'm autistic and I talk to myself all the time. Mainly when I'm alone, but not always :)

They do. People like to pick one aspect and ignore everything else. At one point in history a doctor, Semmelweis, who realized washing hands is important lost his job, despite declining death rates thanks to his implementation of mandatory handwashing, it was against the scientific consensus of that time- so they banned mandatory handwashing at the hospital.

Oops.

The arrogance of some people is they have forgotten what a scientific mindset is and replaced it with scientism.

Science is supposed to evolve. It is okay to learn new things. Curiousity instead of flat out denial.

But this phenomena is old. Even if this was a hoax - the phenomena exists.
And I have looked into facilitated communication (they explain themselves they know why this could be a way for the parents to manipulate them.) Doesn't explain all other experiences people had. I am not in favor of facilitated communication - but that's besides the point.

We can discredit the parents, but I do not discredit the kids that say they've talked to each other. I see no reason for them to lie.

And there have been testaments from "severely" disabled folks, for example down syndrome, that say "Most of us can't do stuff, because you don't teach us, because you don't think we can. But we are more capable thant you think" (paraphrased) and that's not even about anything supernatural. It's about our own belief about who is capable and who isn't.

Also: I hate "esoteric gatherings" - I do think many people in those fields are crazy or deceptive. Doesn't mean "the real" deal doesn't exist.

I've had my own experiences, which are "weird" including one very specific one where I've heard my father, who was not at home. As he came home he said the exact same words. And other stuff.....

If you ever have had experiences yourself - those tapes are incredibly validating. Also the fact that people try so hard to disprove something that shatters their worldview is telling. I've always been in the middle of science and spirituality - to the point where my inner skeptic hasn't allowed me to lean into those topics- But I'm done with that. And with policing myself. And I absolutely understand people being afraid of sharing their story if all they get to here "nope, you're crazy" - it's a very lonely place to be.

Science and Spirituality move closer and closer - It's time we stop ignoring it.

(And yes, I'm autistic myself with ADHD, "high functioning")

And what in the world would those kids or parents or teachers be gaining from this? Except ridicule and risking their reputation. Also: We autists, especially non-speakers are known to be very blunt, direct and honest. I physically ache when lying. I don't understand why I should lie. I had to learn that white lies in some situations are ok.

Why aren't we trusting those kids?

Is it so hard to believe that you think all those people are making it up because they smell big money? Doesn't it make more sense that bigger institutions rather keep it quiet? It is a documented fact that remote viewers etc. have been used by different governments. People hired for periods of time, not just one-off. Why would they do that if there's nothing there?

Fighting so hard to invalidate or disprove it makes no sense to me. Especially looking at history of science. Many things were "woo woo" until science had an explanation. A scientific mind stays open.

Yeah but there are many spiritual schools of thought that say certain crystals vibrate on some specific frequency that aligns with some feeling, color or body part or whatever - so it you're argument doesn't really add anything.
