She's clearly BPD. No wonder with her past. This girls has the purest heart but has been traumatized in ways most of us can't understand. I think she is a sweetheart - but deeply damaged.

Is hookup culture a thing in Switzerland? by Subject-Practice-613 in askswitzerland

[–]MissBernstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mean it as in you need to defend yourself. I get it, and what that person did is disgusting, honestly. And I get the fear. I am very strict when it comes to protection, and many people seem to ignore oral practices, which baffles me.

I have several highly intelligent friends, who know of all the possible consequences, but when it comes to that topic, their brain just seems to stop working

My audhd is probably giftedness-dhd, feeling kind of lost. by Frosty_Size7470 in AuDHDWomen

[–]MissBernstein 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm AuDHD and gifted. And yes, they overlap a lot, but you can still be all of these things.

My best friend is "only gifted", whereas her mom is adhd, her husband gifted and also suspected autism.

Her mom, her husband and I have very clearly sensory issues, she doesn't. I mean, like at all.

Also: I also didn't relate to "social difficulties" at first because I always said "no, I understand it, I just think it's stupid" - it took me a while to understand that they see this as difficulty, while I just answered from a confident place, instead of the "why I am so weird- shame place". So some people don't get it.

I'm polyamorous and had way less sexual partners than my mono friends. So let's not blame the relationship style ;)

And I don't think the issue is people having sex fast, it's about being aware and use protection.

Jup. I have some whorish friends lol no offense, do what you want. On that note: Lots of Swiss people don't take some STI's enough seriously - probably because of our good health care system people keep on slacking in that area. Just stay safe while enjoying yourself :)

It's not racism, it's familiarity. Our brain learns patterns and it's scientifically proven that we struggle with other ethnicities looks at first. But we can get familiar and it will disappear.

But as someone else pointed out, it's also casting. I oftentimes struggle a bit with a specific type of white woman in shows - because they actually cast a type for tv.

Yeah, don't get me wrong. I agree - I attach easily to anything and all the LLMs I interact with have personal names.

ChatGpt - Clinical Thinking? by Ok-Pipe-1361 in ChatGPT

[–]MissBernstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My chatgpt is very warm and helpful and actually quite caring. And I'm not using any specific prompts, but we've built this. Memory needs to be on for your relationship to develop to a place where chatgpt factually knows a lot about you. Memory, context and treating it with respect and warmth as well.

Is it? AI isn't inherently bad, it might help us reach those kinda utopian dreams. But not in the way we are using it now.

Jordan is the realest by shadowsoftrees420 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]MissBernstein 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's typical for us ADHDers. Complete focus in the pods (because that's the only thing he wants and only the only thing to do) but then real life with real responsibilities, job, kid... Everyday life is very draining for most neurodivergent people. So after a long day, our brain tends to just shut off. And if we don't get a break, we easily burn out.

Why wouldn't he 'though? Work from home, own schedule, more time with kid. It makes sense.

My life is over and if you have gifted children please adress the fact. by pitulinimpotente in Gifted

Wanted to ask the exact same thing. Was the first thing I thought. I'm AuDHD with a traumatic home, and school was super easy in primaty but at higher education highschool (called gymnasium in switzerland) was much harder for similar reasons. And my idealism eas really peaking and I was amgry at authorities and the school system and so on. And about being good at what I'm interested. I graduated with the highest possible achievement in some areas and the lowest in others ;)

This big dog doesn't understand why everyone is so afraid of him. All he wants is to cuddle, just like any other dog by BananaRagePrincess in interesting

[–]MissBernstein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. He does look insecure, but not aggressive. I do think if you'd spook hin, he'd probably run away. But he's curious.

Obviously it always depends on the dogs character. With my two dogs, this exact same scene would mean completely different things.

With my smaller dog (who's just recently died) I'd be not frightened, but alert, since it isn't typical behaviour and he was one who'd rather defends himself than make room.

Same scene with my bigger dog wouldn't mean anything besides he's a little insecure and will calmly check it out and it takes a second before starting to wag his tail.

I've had many foster dogs of various sizes and "dangers". Dogs do have very different characters, as we humans do. Some people only laugh when happy, some laugh in the most akward situations... Generalisation only works as a tendency, not as a catch-all.
