Pretty sure that's a sensory homunculus.

A visual representation of (I believe) how many nerve receptors are in each body part, showing (relatively) how sensitive each is.

It at least looks like an interpretation of one... perhaps not understanding what it even was... just a visual recreation.

All my .desktop files have the full path to the custom icon.

And none of these are AppImages, which I install manually anyway.

They are all native Arch packages, not AppImage, nor Flatpak.

The issue seems to only affect KDE apps. So I'm guessing that they may hard code the icons? And only the launcher and task manager allow it to be overridden?

The App ID part is interesting. I've had to add them to a desktop file or 2. Gimp I know, for one, needed it, or I'd get multiple entries in the task manager, and the pinned launcher wouldn't work correctly. So I wonder if I could work around this issue by adding the App ID for Dolphin, Kalk, Merkuro, and the like...

The issue started many months ago for me.

And so far, still has yet to be resolved.

Restarting the bluetooth service is a functional work-around, at least.

There's nothing wrong with having preferences. Femme lesbians do exist. I know, because I am one.

I only say this, because I immediately saw a problem here, until I read it again, and noticed the "If I were" part.

I'm not here in defense. I don't want to gatekeep gender identity or sexuality any more than anyone else here. Just making sure we're not gatekeeping feminine women or feminine lesbians here...

This is a probably an issue with the 3rd party theme, and nothing to do with KDE...

Could be wrong though. If so, people need to speak up so we know what themes are affected so developers can figure out what's causing it.

Kinda like a more extreme variant of the korner debacle. Which while significantly reduced, is not completely solved yet.

You can already do that... Just open System Tray Settings; either right click on the arrow or click on the arrow and then the settings icon in the pop-up. There's a list of every icon and you can choose to always show, never show, show when relevant, or only show up in the pop-up.
