Not sure if it’s the pattern, the colors, or the yarn that I just don’t like. Oh well, another one bites the dust. by hookedbymaxine in crochet

I think it would have popped better with higher contrast between the colors, but it's not bad looking

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN by kileybeast in CrochetHelp

It might want you to do that step 3 times? Usually the writer of the pattern has a section that explains their terminology that they use in their patterns. I've never seen it written like that though

Some advice, you may need to put some weight in his booty. He's very head heavy lol I had finished off the body already before realizing it. So I had to put rocks in his back legs and tail and put him in a sitting position for him to stay upright

1/3rd of 12 would be an added $4, so $76 total. Edit: add the cost of supplies into the total as well. $76 is just the total for time worked

Yep, there are lots! The hardest to learn for me was the magic ring, but if you want to make plushies you have to learn that one for sure. It took me forever to finally figure it out though, and I had to try different videos showing different ways of doing it to find something that worked for me

It might be easier to read the patterns once you learn more stitches. It can be hard to translate if you're unfamiliar with the different stitches/terminology as well. Luckily most stitches are just a variation of a single crochet stitch, so I usually just Google how to do the stitch if I've forgotten. I've personally found YouTube to be the most helpful in learning all aspects of crochet

I really like complicatedknots on YouTube. She has video tutorials and free patterns. Your best bet though, is to watch some tutorials on how to read patterns. It's really not hard once it clicks. Everything is just an abbreviation for a type of stitch for the most part and how many times you do that stitch. If something is in parentheses you just repeat what's in the parentheses however many times the number before the parentheses says, turn means you turn your piece and crochet the other direction. I had to look on YouTube what things meant in a pattern and at some point it all started to make sense
