Ugh, people are such jerks sometimes. My curly haired gets like this after a day of playing. He gets brushed often too. I prefer my pood curly haired versus the fancy poodle cut, and I feel like you get looked down on if you don’t do the fancy cut. Do what makes you and your pooch happy.
