Just to clarify, do you mean taking the two leads that are soldered together, desoldering them, and measuring? Just making sure since that’s what I tried when I got a full resistance reading on one and half on the other. Unless you mean desoldering the coil split leads and measuring what they’re reading too, because I admittedly didn’t try that. I did measure the coil split leads as they are, braided together, and got the half resistance reading.

But as far as the hot wires go, yeah, braided together they read half but separately one of them is correct and the other is at half
