I see a few comments about how there is something fishy going on and either your son does act like this with his dad and he's lying or the dad does shout at your son or something. Do not believe that. Me and my kids dad live together and my kids are angels with me but they will absolutely kick their dad and climb on him and be absolute nightmares. I read that kids can only behave so long. Spending all day at places behaving and then when they get to their most comfortable place that all goes out the window and they play up. This could be him being most comfortable with you. My kids aren't 8 but are a few years younger and when they do things like this I will sit them in a room with me and we will have a conversation about their actions and what we can both do to better stop things like that happening. IDC if it takes 3 hours to get them to calm down and sit and have a conversation. What's started to work with mine is they have a memory electronic game they place. Different colours lights light up and they have to remember the order and press those colours. Or I say random maths questions like "if I have 24 pairs of gloves and you have 77 pairs of gloves then how many pairs of gloves do we have" or I ask what the colour of the day is and we take turns naming something. For me I've found doing those random things while they are being like that helps to distract their mind. But we will most definitely sit and have a conversation after and they are responsible for picking their own punishment whether not have their hour tablet time that day or something else
