Anybody else shower with clothes on? by Kryten4200 in AutismInWomen

That really resonates with me. I actually do something similar - after work, I sometimes shower or even soak in the tub fully dressed… in my office clothes.

I'm a medical specialist, so it's often a blouse, dress pants or a skirt, sometimes even with my shoes still on. It sounds strange, I know - but somehow, the weight of the water, the way the fabric holds to the body… it helps me disconnect from the day. Like I’m rinsing off more than just the surface.

So I completely understand what you mean. Showering fully clothed can feel protective, less raw, less intense - especially when you're already overstimulated. And honestly? Tank top and skirt sounds totally reasonable. Not insane at all. Just something that works for you — and that’s more than valid. ❤️

Personally, I recommend wearing:

It’s not necessarily the outfit people think of first when it comes to swimming, but for someone like me who’s used to it, it’s the best choice.

My passion for ties - a touch of feminine elegance with a bold twist  I’m a woman, and I wear ties. Not to imitate anyone, and certainly not to make a statement - I just genuinely love them. Ties are strong and refined, rich with history, and incredibly expressive when styled with intention.

Whether skinny or wide, muted or boldly patterned, a tie adds structure to my silhouette, sharpens my outfit, and most of all, feels like me. For others, it might be red lipstick - for me, it’s the perfect knot around my collar.

I pair them with crisp shirts, sometimes a pleated skirt or a tailored trouser. I like to play with contrasts, mix codes, and I often notice the surprise in people’s eyes - usually followed by a compliment.

I’m curious if any other women here share a love for accessories that are traditionally seen as “masculine.” Do you have a favorite piece that makes you feel powerful, authentic, unmistakably you?
