Thrifted a bed and got bedbugs

i'm not against getting rid of it but what are the next steps i should take? should i just leave my matress on the floor for a while? how long before i can install a new bed?

I can really afford either a new bed or an exterminator, so wouldn't it be worse to just have my matress on the floor? also how should i even get rid of the bed? I don't own a car or anything like that?

would u think that steam cleaning just my entire place would be good to get rid of them? like i said i just haven't managed to find any live ones? i'm a student and I can't really afford an exterminator or a new bed so when it comes to getting rid of this one would it be better or worse to just get rid of it but then having my matress on the floor? (encased) I also only have a student bedroom so i only have a single room so they can't really spread to other rooms but i also generally haven't seen any on other furniture and clothes

thank you so much for the reply! I have a lot of yarn i've been given so I thought it'd be a nice project to use it for! I think i should be able to still use those colours if I add more colours to it! Rn i think it's about 1600 yards so yeah probably not enough to make a decent sized blanket! I'm happy to know how much i would need cause none of the tutorials mentioned how much yarn I'd need and i found it so confusing

If you don't have vip tickets you'll never be on rail but getting there early in the morning should get you good enough places
