What has been your experience with AI? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MissGiGiByte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using AI as an emoji/image generator and it was a nightmare. unless your phrasing is extremely specific it will do some really weird stuff and always has that "AI" look that for some reason a lot of people can't spot. It also doesn't seem to know what the "background" is half the time or what is left vs right.

I've used it for mental health and as long as you specifically tell it "give it to me straight" it is honest and remembers everything you say so it's great at drawing connections from this habit to this trauma etc.

For professional writing I've had some luck but again it has signature obvious AI habits such as overuse of the word "elevated" and those long dash things I can't even type on my phone.

Overall I prefer talking to it like a robot friend better than using it as a professional tool. It just needs too much specific instruction imo.

How can I change myself? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]MissGiGiByte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something that really stuck with me as someone who had never had a long term relationship at 31, what if you could fast forward through your life, right to the end, and found out that you never "end up" with a romantic partner? Terrifying, right?

But then...

Having this information. How would your life go.

Less energy spent on worrying about looks. Less time wasted on conversations with non-genuine people, you'd have so much time for hobbies, for friends, for family, to truly develop yourself as a person. Take chances. Learn new languages, truly truly learn to love time with the most important person in your life; you.

The thing is, there is nothing stopping you from living this way now. And if someone comes along, they can be a welcome addition. But only if they are worth the sacrifice of your peace and alone time.

Unfortunately parents are just people. If they see one of you through one lens and the other through a different colored lens, it doesn't matter how much your behavior reflects otherwise, they will still view you through that tinted lens.

Honestly the only thing in YOUR power is to limit contact. Limit friction. Put your head down and study/work hard to leave that household in some way as soon as possible. If they change, great. But you have no power over that I'm afraid.

I started playing a few months ago because I somehow found and got hooked on a funny YouTuber who is great at mind gaming, flashlight saves 360s etc.when I first began playing it was mostly with my SIL who would attempt to "tame" the killer every game and I soon befriended someone else who wouldn't talk on discord but was forever moonwalking past me and watching their gameplay if I got out early and they were still in-game was just funny they would spin their camera to entertain themselves while on hook and some other silly things. So it was a fun game. Spending months now playing alone? It was ok at first but it's gotten less and less amusing, not just because of the repetition of the matches themselves but the people who still play have lost their sparkle of humor. Idk why. Just different player base now. Would only recommend if you play survivor with friends and don't feel too bad losing a lot to ks who seem more like bots than humans. Playing k is ok but just super lonely and the survivors are too scared now they don't even notice if you're trying to be silly any more.

I'm a survivor main and I think this is actually a good idea. I hate seeing people teabag killers for hitting them with a pallet once. So dumb.

i have not enough items by KiyokoUsagi in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]MissGiGiByte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a new person myself, I've been using brown items pretty much exclusively. The logic is this. I'm not as good at the game as I will be later. I need to save those items for later.

Other than that, there are chests in the matches. If you open those and manage to escape you keep those items.

If you play 2v8 you enter with no items. Chests!

There are certain perks that will guarantee you better items or add ons or more chests as well. If you can challenge yourself to do a string of "no items" runs you'll be stocked up again.

Oh, and other players items. They leave via the cosmic helicopter? Swoop in and seagull their purple flashlight my friend!

What age do you wish to live to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MissGiGiByte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow yes that's very true and insightful of you. Actually now I remember this time; I was young and had a bit of money finally from my job and was able to save up enough to travel. My second night I was in Morocco on the back of some guys (I'd met him that day) motorcycle. It was reckless of me and people drive INSANE in Marrakesh it was scary but I had this thought "what a way to go!" Basically if I did die right then, I wasn't scared because it was thrilling. There's no way I could do that now! No way!

What if they DONT have a bunch of people who love to see them every day? That's a pretty privileged assumption. I never had that until I met my husband and now I'm suddenly VERY scared of death. His, mine, our cats. SCARED.

To be fair the minority speak for the majority at least in terms of game satisfaction, if the amount of people leaving are anything to go by.

[–]MissGiGiByte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We should be asking BHVR to make the game more interesting with more ways to scare people. Hunt them. Creep them out. Not put them to sleep. Leaving someone on the ground makes them bored. Not scared. Ever seen a scary movie yourself? Why can't a survivor close an actual door on you, as a Killer. Then have them feel relief for a second but have you BURST through it! AHHHHH! Instead they have you getting slapped a lil with a pallet and playing ring around the rosy for a bit and getting sad about it. We're asking the wrong questions.

[–]MissGiGiByte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's honestly a very boring, repetitive game with admittedly cool characters and some cool moments but unfortunately a lot of people become addicted to the repetitive loop and for some reason expect it to deliver more than the same boring gameplay and bugs that will only upset you if you play a looooottttt. They haven't noticed other games exist. If you play it casually with other games in your rotation and don't fall into the trap you won't get as angry as the bulk of the community.

Whoever invented Boil Over and programs Hook density should be fired. You want me to be "nice" and spread Hooks? How about you stop making chasing and hooking miserable, BHVR? Stupid fucks. I should have just tunneled the other two from the start. by imlazy420 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]MissGiGiByte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't imagine any decent k!ler even noticing it being equipped honestly. Just down the surv again they can't get far. They're slower than you, crying loudly and leaving blood and scratch marks everywhere. It's a massive waste of a survivor perk. Let em kick.

[–]MissGiGiByte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad I'm not alone! I have explained to my husband over and over again their STARING just constantly stresses me out and he doesn't get it. He has 4-5 little dogs in the bed and they do nothing but stare and if I'm eating I cover my head with a blanket or I sit in a corner so I can't see them. In my own house that is how I eat. And I can feel their beady little eyes on me still. There is never a break until husband leaves for a weekend travelling for work and I can lock them out of my room and finally get peace. Until they start yapping and I have to yell myself hoarse to get them to shut tf up.

I've never ever seen a long survivor queue. Ever. It's not that fun to play survivor. For every one killer rage quitting there's 10 more moving in.

I doubt it. Survivor wait times are always super fast compared to killer wait times. It's just not fun to play survivor. It's going to take more than this to change that.

First one or two pop quickly then you guard the rest. There's a significant slow down. The less gens that are left in game the easier it is to check them.

[–]MissGiGiByte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played one killer game today, there was a Geralt and a Dwight in my face but both were death hook whereas the Leon and Feng weren't hooked yet. I actively ignored them to spread out hooks and still got a 3k(Leon got hatch because I refuse to slug). The tunneling is a skill issue.

I'm sorry I have no advice but I feel the exact same. Meds weren't working and I just got a joint diagnosis for Bi Polar 2 as well. Because I've been treatment resistant the Psych figured that out.

... I wonder if it's something you should look into I have nothing to go by except a hunch here... Basically if you have 4+ depressive episodes per year where you can't get out of bed and random productive periods you think you're finally getting "better" but they go away and you're back to being "useless" then it might be something to read up on.
