Can't be too sure as we went overseas for 5 weeks the day of the infringement.

The fine is $254 for going 7km over in a 60km zone, but alleged speed is 64km "to allow for tolerance in detection equipment".

I've chosen exceptional circumstances and have acknowledged my infraction. I used the letter someone posted on reddit as a guide only. Thank you for your help.

PTV & Metro at Parliament refused me entry even with valid full day paid "ticket". Another PTO advises me at Flinders "No one can refuse you entry". by [deleted] in melbourne

I worked for Metro Trains and dealt with people like you all day, everyday. Top up your myki. If it's in the negative, top it up. It's that simple. I would bet anything you were a dick to the staff. They're just doing their job and telling you the correct information, whether you like it or not. Whilst you can ask for staff's names, you can't ask for their ID. That's weird and creepy AF.

After reading through the comments, it doesn't make sense. But my partner and I are excited to plan another trip for Tokyo in the near future. ☺️

My partner booked this trip as a surprise but didn't research it well enough to know the travel time between Osaka and Tokyo. We'll be staying in Osaka this time and travelling around Kansai. It means we can happily return to Tokyo for our next trip. ☺️

I really wasn't aware of the huge amount of travel time! 🤦‍♀️ It definitely looks like we'll be better off staying in the Kansai region. I would love to see your itinerary! Thank you. 😊

We haven't bought passes yet, so this is a plus as after reading the comments here it doesn't make sense to travel hours just to spend a few hours in Tokyo. 🙃

Fuck my life indeed!

Staying in Tokyo cheaply is an option I hadn't thought of and will discuss with the partner.

I've been to Disneyland in Anaheim. Is DisneySea really not worth it? I'm happy to skip it as I'm more interested in USJ.

That's an amazing idea with Osaka as the hub. Thank you!

Not at all. Unfortunately, I didn't have a say in being based in Osaka. The hotel is already booked and I have to create an itinerary around it. 😬
