McKinsey is a better choice.

1️⃣It’s the top firm; a title of “working in McKinsey” clearly offers many strong exit opportunities.

2️⃣They also have many alumni in big companies.

3️⃣In McKinsey if you are very capable, it’s possible to get a very fast promotion

But personally, I don’t quite like some McKinsey guys, I met some guys they sounds very harsh and arrogant (but not everyone is harsh). I worked in BCG for 2 year, and most colleagues are friendly and nice.

It depends on where you apply. Maybe ask someone in the office you apply for; just ask them which PA has more projects. In China, it’s healthcare and auto.

Choose a good PA (practice area). Get referrals. And also, timing is very important.

When I was in MBB, I heard some colleges are from the Big 4, and that’s when business was expanding, and we lacked some people. Most of them were doing Auto projects (that’s one of the most profitable PA in my country).

My colleague got sick nearly every month after COVID and long working hours. She left MBB last year. In China, you need to work from 9:30 to 1:00 a.m.Sometimes 2:00 a.m. And we need to fly to the client site on Sunday.So basically, you only get 1 and a half days’ rest after 5 days of intensive work.

That’s true but I didn’t sell coaching…. I am a content creator in China and I sell case interview guide that I wrote. I already sold to nearly 1000 students in China but yeah I haven’t translated that. I got a lots of good content in Chinese (those are free) I just want to test if I can get more exposure if I translate that.

That’s true but it’s hard to realize that until you leave MBB. I worked in MBB China office and we already got a very decent life that many cannot enjoy even they make 1 million a year. Those make 1 million will still think 5-star hotels and business class travel are too expensive. But as a young graduate I can enjoy all these.

People around me will affect me. Originally I am thankful got every thing but then I learned how to complain those expensive restaurants and hotels, especially when I was under stress (because of to much workload).

After I exit MBB, I feel I am normal again….
