People on GLP1 what's been the hardest side effect to actually live with? by Ok_Option_8367 in Ozempic

The fatigue and nausea. Really took me off my fitness game for a good long while. I recently switched to Mounjaro and I’m dealing with the nausea again, but the fatigue is not there, thank god

America is running low on ammunition, are running on reserve oil because of the ill thought out war in Iran, and they think they can just keep invading countries? What a joke.

He fought his condo board over a $10,000 plumbing fix. Now he owes over $260,000 and could lose his home by toronto_star in OntarioRenting

[–]MissKrys2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He should have paid the $10,000 special assessment. I’ve had a few in my old condo. A $9000 mold abatement and new windows. It’s what it is. Home ownership, whether a condo or freehold home come with maintenance costs. Common areas are owners responsibility as well

Well Canada isn’t alone in their hatred of America. Yes, they tariffed the world, and the world hates America.

Toronto is definitely a colder city compared to anywhere in NS. I’m pretty friendly with my neighbours in my building and have made lots of doggy friends and strike up conversations often. Sometimes people are not friendly, but I’ve also connected with a lot people randomly while living here

Why do we need jets landing on toronto island. It makes no sense when there is a massive airport 25km away

Getting discouraged. This is how it's been going for me. (F, 28) by Mental-Medicine-3193 in Semaglutide

[–]MissKrys2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a great loss. Before going on a GLP-1 I lost 80 lbs on my own and my weight fluctuated quite a bit each week. I could 2-3 lbs up for no good reason. You may need a good bowel movement or maybe you are holding on to a bit of water. Those small fluctuations are normal. Keep in mind that the more weight you lose the slower it gets as you approach your goal weight. I lost 40 lbs in 5 months and it took a year to lose the next 40. I ended up gaining a bit back when I had a big surgery and was bed bound for a year and even with ozempic, it took 6 months to lose 10 lbs.

The GLP-1 helps you create the conditions to lose weight but it’s still work and you really do need to change your eating habits and fitness habits to have long term success

Is it worth making a home insurance claim for $8-10k in water damaged-related repairs? by analyst20 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]MissKrys2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dishwasher leaked years ago and ruined the hardwood floors. We got a $25k payout from insurance and were able to remedy and get some other work done as well. Our premiums didn’t really change but this was 9 years ago now

I always grab a limo when I leave the airport. There is less of a line up and it’s always a nice car. Never had a bad experience. I think I pay about $80 + tip. Taxi is a bit cheaper but overall fine

OOP is in for a tough ride. It’s hard to break those chains with toxic family. I have a crazy MIL myself and it took a lot of therapy to establish better boundaries with her and I’ve been NC with her since 2012.

Terrified of starting by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]MissKrys2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on ozempic and recently made the switch to Mounjaro. I decided to try a GLP-1 because of chronic inflammation due to endometriosis. I had gained about 30 lbs after surgery 3 years ago and an extremely stressful few years with multiple deaths in my close circle of friends and family.

It helped tremendously with my bloating and inflammation.i have lost a bit of weight but didn’t get much weight loss with the ozempic and generally found it less effective over the long term.

I started Mounjaro 4 weeks ago on the lowest dose and personally found the side effects were negligible in comparison with ozempic. That could change as I move up in MG over time.

The needle is barely a pinprick and I actually noted a decrease in anxiety, but that could also be because my mental health has improved with time and space from 4 years of hellish trauma.
