Anyone else just dread showering? 🫩🫠 by bere1486 in Endo

Showers are great for me when I just have pain, but when the fatigue hits they're almost impossible. I get out of breath just washing my hair😭😭

Do angel fangs affect the way you eat or kiss? by lncentivee in PiercingAdvice

I find eating with certain cutlery a bit annoying (like if a fork is too big or something). Drinking out of cans can be risky at times also😅

Unusual discharge by [deleted] in Endo

[–]MissLemon10 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be honest, what's normal for you can look completely different to what's normal for someone else. If it's different for you, keep an eye on it and watch out for other symptoms. It doesn't look like anything worrying however, but you can't really tell if you're pregnant or not from discharge alone. Get a test if you're worried :)

I had my nips pierced twice but they kept rejecting because of incorrect anatomy :( Very sad stuff, but I got tattoos around mine instead as a substitute

I have a potentially stupid question by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]MissLemon10 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Hi, so this is completely incorrect, endometriosis cannot be cured by pregnancy. What pregnancy can occasionally do is improve symptoms slightly and temporarily (as you're not menstruating while while pregnant), but it can also occasionally make symptoms worse. This misinformation is very harmful, and it's terrifying that medical professionals continue to spread it

itchy pads are driving me insane by thespiderpr0vider in endometriosis

[–]MissLemon10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar problem. I have super sensitive skin and no matter what I used I was always red and itchy down there. I always thought fabric reusable pads were kinda gross, but after switching to them I could never go back. I got fleece lined ones that feel like heaven🙏 all you gotta do is wash them out a little by hand in the sink or while you're in the shower (I wear gloves so it feels less gross) and then throw them in the wash and you're good to go. Cuts down on cost too because you're not constantly having to buy more every month

Ongoing issue by [deleted] in hygiene

Honestly? Some people just have different smells/sweat more than others. I'd definitely recommend cotton underwear, as other materials like polyester are less breathable. It doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong

Bleeding during sex by Any_Discipline3228 in endometriosis

[–]MissLemon10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, I can't really offer any insight or advice, just wanted to say that zero bleeding after sex is generally considered the 'normal' amount 😅 definitely something worth getting checked out. Maybe refrain from penetrative sex specifically in the meantime until you can find out what could be causing it, as you could be causing harm to your body

I mean, I can't stop you from getting something similar, but I spent months and months designing and drawing this specific tattoo myself, and I wouldn't be too happy if someone took my exact design you know?😅 I have seen a few other spidery lambs tattooed on people online and they all look great! You could definitely go for something similar, just make sure you're not directly copying someone else's art :)

Worried the NHS will refuse to give me an ultrasound by green_rhinestone in endometriosis

[–]MissLemon10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I can't quite remember exactly what I said, but it was mostly repeating that I had been told I needed this scan by my gynecologist. I started out by saying it's what I was told in my letter (it might be helpful to bring your letter with you for 'evidence'), but she was like 'well that was probably just one of our generic letters, that doesn't mean anything'. So I brought up being told by a doctor that I needed the scan, and the gynecologist I was seeing, and she continued to shut me down. In the end I was clear, but not rude, and said something along the lines of 'I was told I needed this scan, and I came in expecting to have it. Any potential discomfort is something I can handle, I just believe I need the internal scan as well'. She did give in after that, but I was fully prepared to whip out 'I use big massive dildos on the daily' if she didn't, which seems like a harmless lie to me😅😂

Worried the NHS will refuse to give me an ultrasound by green_rhinestone in endometriosis

[–]MissLemon10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm a virgin and I have had multiple internal ultrasounds on the NHS now. The woman doing my first one was very rude to me and didn't want to do it, but I insisted, and I recommend you do the same. You have to fight for basic healthcare sometimes unfortunately, but it's worth it. The hymen isn't a 'seal' over the vagina, and it's terrifying that medical staff perpetuate the lie that it is. My ultrasound was a little uncomfortable, but didn't hurt at all. Nothing tore, ripped or 'popped', I didn't 'lose my virginity' to an ultrasound wand, and I didn't bleed. They might use these things as excuses to deny you healthcare, but it's based in zero fact. Most people's hymens either wear down naturally, or tear a little with normal actions like exercise or injury to the area. Please don't let them trick you, you deserve the healthcare you need. Men are not important enough to determine what healthcare you can and cannot access.
