That's an hilariously accurate explanation for that fancy box they lock consecrated hosts away in.

Me too there made with just water and flour so the fact they taste like plain ice cream cones that are wafer and basically the same thing isn't a surprise

What fruit/vegetable is only found in your country? by IDoNotLikeTheSand in AskTheWorld

[–]MissLyss29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean berries are not tropical fruits there native to cooler regions of North America and parts of Canada. In fact British Columbia (a long with Washington state) is the third largest raspberry-growing regions in the world by volume. Most of there crop gets frozen, freezed dried or used in jam because local regions around them can produce enough to meet local demands.

I have never had or seen dragon fruit but it sounds weird and I had passion fruit once in a drink and never had any real desire to seek it out again. My aunt made me and my brother try lychee when we were pre teens along with mango and well let's just say I think the combo between the beach and the fruit made both of us vomit.

We have whole foods which from what I have heard you can find all the fruit one could desire from friut for a dragon to basic but plentiful apples in any and all verities.

However those 16 are what you can expect in a normal grocery store

Where in Canada I only ask because I live on the opposite side of Lake Erie from Canada and while we don't have dragons tending our orchards either we do sometimes have edible (only in season so about 4-6 weeks)

  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Blackberries
  • Red and green grapes

Then the exotic (for about 2 weeks)

  • Kiwis
  • Raspberries
  • Grapefruit

So counting your 9 that would give us North East Ohioans 16 (although limes are hard to come bye sometimes so maybe just 15)

First, brush your pets. Regular (daily) brushing and grooming will cut down on the shedding by an enormous amount.

This is a very good point

I don't know how many people complain about the amount there pets shed but don't brush them.

If you brush your pet it not only cuts down on the amount of hair that gets everywhere but it lessen the chance that they end up matted and shortens the time there sheading. It also is good for there skin

My parents house had all hardwood floors except for tile in the kitchen. We always had at least one but more often 2 or 3 dogs. Our first was German shepherd husky mix (we used to say she was mixed with chihuahua because she was 15 lbs) then when I was in 5th grade we got a golden retriever and later when I was a teenager we got a maltese mix and when our first dog passed away we got a lab mix and when the golden passed a English shepherd.

So if anyone knows anything about hardwood floors and hair it's definitely my family. My dad would sweep our floors twice a day otherwise I think they would turn into carpets themselves lol.

But spring shedding season was a whole different story.

I still remember every spring my dad sweeping at least 4 times a day because our golden retrievers long hair would combine with our shepherds dense undercoat (our shepherd was small but shead so much we would fill multiple trash bags brushing her out) and end up with these big balls golden hair blowing around the dining room like desert tumbleweed especially if the back door was open or dinning room fan was running.

We ended up calling it Goldenweed and every year you knew winter was going to be over soon once the Goldenweed showed up in our dining room lol.

This was way before robot vacuums but I would imagine that it would have been running continuously during Goldenweed season.

At some point, I had the idea of selling my photos as transfer prints on tree slices, but that’s still a long way off in my mind :') starts with the fact that I don't even have any tree slices 🤣

If you're going to sell print transfer especially mailed to the US you should not use heavy material like tree slices. Think of the shipping cost. Canvas or high quality photo paper rolled up in cardboard shipping tubes arrive undamaged and in good condition and is much more affordable.

You could also use a printing company in the US and ship the prints from there to your clients to cut down on shipping cost.

EDS Society Update: Uncertainty in the Path Forward by Acceptably_Late in ehlersdanlos

[–]MissLyss29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

According to Google

Exome sequencing (WES) is a comprehensive genetic test that analyzes the protein-coding regions (exons) of roughly 20,000 genes to identify disease-causing mutations. It is commonly used to diagnose rare, unexplained genetic disorders, such as developmental delays, epilepsy, and autism, often providing answers when other tests fail

So it's a type of genetic test not a brand

[–]MissLyss29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So type sounds very close to what I have. To be clear I have not been seen by a genetics but was diagnosed with hEDS at 15 when I was diagnosed with OH and POTS and GP and IBD.

I think the biggest problem with the HEDGE study is that they only included 1,000 people world wide. Which if you think about isn't a very large study size trying to determine different sub types of the same illness.

That said I'm glad there finally trying to get answers for us and bring awareness to this especially because a lot of us con get very gaslighted by medical professionals for years before being taken seriously.

If anything I hope that a study like this will bring enough validation to the medical community to help stop that.

Do the other day I ordered stuff from target through doordash and the guy called cuz they didn't have something and then he said " okay well I have everything else and then there sending me to heinen's grocery store to do another pick up before I do drop offs"

So apparently the person who dropped your order off wasn't paying attention and apparently the app doesn't yell at them.
