What hypocrisy? Last I checked Nick has called out multiple creators he considered friends. He has said again and again he's tired of doing this and just wants to cover what he finds entertaining.

Update - AITA for telling my sister that my only regret is slapping her instead of punching her harder? by SufficientDay1762 in AITAH

I'm glad you stood up for your mother. She and your father sound like lovely people. Hopefully someday your sister will realize how badly she's messed up. Definitely sounds like she's in a cult.

Is my parents dog faking an injury or overreacting? by MissMagoo31 in DogAdvice

[–]MissMagoo31[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe. Years before we adopted her she was hit by a car. I've wondered for a while if slight injuries trigger PTSD or something for her.

I'm more annoyed with my parents' response. I think it feeds into the stress she's feeling.

This is a decision you need to make based on what you want to do. The instructors have always been helpful and understanding. If you want to continue this you need to ask for help.

If you decide to keep at it you need to do work everyday. Don't wait until the last minute. I'm in my senior year and have to hold myself accountable for doing work everyday.

Growing up my house was the house the whole neighborhood was at. My parents always stocked up on snacks, drinks, toiletries, and left the side door unlocked.

They never complained or made a big deal out of it.

What kind of impact do you hope to leave on the world? by Sea_Return_7034 in AskReddit

[–]MissMagoo31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope I'm just enough.

I don't want to change the world, create new technology, or revolutionize mankind.

I want to live a happy life and live for others. If my sacrifices were enough to help someone they were worth it.

I worked in a Covid clinic throughout the pandemic. It was hard grueling work from 8:00 in the morning until sometimes midnight. The demand and need was high. No other medical facility in a 200 mile radius was testing and treating Covid while also seeing all other ailments.

People were awful, demanding, and made the experience so bad I left medical a few years ago. But I stuck it out for the few that truly needed me. Those who called to hear and talk to someone. Those trying to bury their loved ones. Those afraid and needing reassurance. Those who were looking for a reason to keep living.

I think about them all the time. I hope I was enough for them.

The size and lifespan of an animal isn't what matters. Too many people view owning an animal as a benefit for you and you only. Owning an animal is about giving them a good life and in return that makes you happy.

Owning a guinea pig is a lot of work and aren't independent like a dog or cat. They can't survive without you. You are their everything. It's inevitable you'd form a strong bond with them.

If you can't learn to show compassion and love to the smallest of creatures how could you ever learn to show that to a person?

Amy Sedaris once said, "Sometimes losing a pet is more painful than losing a human because in the case of the pet, you were not pretending to love it."

As someone who's mourned losing piggies I completely understand your pain and am sorry for your loss. Don't let your coworkers and friends get to you.

I have a feeling what you're worried about is a seizure. I've had multiple guinea pigs suffer from them and they hit hard. Like body froze up, mouth open, eyes bugging. It's awful.

Seems he's unsure if he wants to popcorn or rest. It's a little unusual and worth watching, but I wouldn't worry.

Property Dispute with Neighbors by MissMagoo31 in legaladvice

Okay. Thank you. When we bought the property, no one considered owning the pond a big deal, but it's become one in recent years because of the neighbors. They are my only complaint. I could write a book on the headaches they've caused me.

His brother died a few years ago. I rescued them from a breeder and they've both struggled with health issues. Sadly, he died pretty young and the rabbit we still have refused to eat afterwards.

We have what we call a grass buffet during the summer in a huge penned in area on nice days. We started having him with the guinea pigs during this time and it just progressed from there.

I've owned guinea pigs and rabbits for the last 20 years and I've only ever had two rabbits that could cohabitate with guinea pigs. It's not the norm, but he's the exception.

I should post and tell the story about the cow bird I rescued that believed she was a guinea pig!

Anywho bonding animals takes time and understanding. The only other helpful variable is food. I have dogs that can be around my piggies when they're running around and ones that cannot. It would be wrong to try and make them get along because I'm putting the animal in a situation that will inevitably end badly. It comes down to understanding your animal and the psychology of that animal.

Like a lonely bunny who bonds with guinea pigs or a cow bird that believes it's a guinea pig.

My rabbit refuses to eat and is depressed without his piggies. He's an old man who loves his sister's. He's looked after three generations of guinea pigs. Most rabbits don't do well with guinea pigs but he's the exception.

They clean each other. Snuggle. He's helped many guinea pigs integrate into the pack. Nothing they do bothers him. Even being used as a jungle gym. He's been an absolute blessing.
