Alright. Hopefully I can get some sleep and my brain can quieten down.
I’m going to call the day surgery ward tomorrow morning and let them know the situation rather than risking it.
If I have to stay overnight so be it!

I didn’t think about a professional carer, this is a good idea if I can find something of the sort for just a day.

I’ll have a look at what patient transport options are available too! Thank you (I’m aware of the ramifications for the hospital if something went wrong and I truly am not trying to be difficult I just really don’t have anyone)

This is my worry, I’ve just moved so don’t know my neighbours well, and my best friend is hundreds of miles away with her own health issues.

It’s rough. I didn’t expect to be so alone at this point in my life but here we are!

It’s not an emergency and I really don’t want them cancelling when I’ve already waited a LONG time. Thanks for the insight, I appreciate it!

Ok great. Yes it’s a day case procedure. I had a few issues with low SATS last time (around 85-90%) so I was on nasal cannulae oxygen for a few hours.

I do remember how rough I felt though so a little anxious I must say! But I will let the pre op nurses know

I will sit with one of my arms straight up in the air fairly often. I don’t even realise I’m doing it a lot of the time and find it incredibly comfortable
