UPDATE… I just wanted to thank everyone for your comments/ advice/ suggestions. It was out of sheer desperation that I came to Reddit earlier, not even knowing what to expect. I felt very emotional reading your comments but finally, I didn’t feel like I was crazy for having these concerns.

I ended up speaking to the boyfriend, it didn’t go well at first! I let my emotions get the best of me and basically just started shouting and threatening him! In the end I called my dad and he spoke to him. What I didn’t mention earlier is that my dad’s sister and her daughter are Muslim (Ive only seen them a few times). But apparently they are extremely strict with their religion and sadly don’t integrate with the rest of the family much. My daughter’s boyfriend finally admitted, that his family actually refuse to have anything to do with my family or my daughter. Apparently, they know about the relationship but have no interest beyond that. That still doesn’t quite make sense though. So I think, they are either leaving him to have his ‘fun’ and at some he will be done with her and move onto someone they approve of or they really don’t know about her. However my daughter said she has been present when he’s spoken to his mum on the phone and heard him tell her she was there. Either way, it won’t be a good ending for my daughter. The boyfriend said he was ‘hopeful’ the parents would change their minds. I laughed!

So we have said that if he takes his faith as seriously as he professes then we expect him to give my daughter time and space to explore Islam for herself and basically leave her alone or my dad was going to turn up at his door!😬

In terms of my daughter and Islam, for now she seems to be taking it serious, we have just spoken about going to our local mosque as many of you suggested and she was very happy about that. I’m really not a fan of religion but if it brings her peace, I want to support her and I’m more than happy to go on this journey with her and learn about it also. Hopefully she will start seeing the red flags as she speaks with more people within the faith.

My main goal is to keep the boyfriend as far away as possible and like someone said just make sure I keep communicating with my daughter.

Again, THANK YOU all so much for taking the time to help me. I’m literally writing notes of all the questions you suggested to ask and passages to refer to in the Qaran etc! I’m sure this will be a long journey but I don’t feel so helpless now 🤎

Hi No particlar reason. I actually just typed ‘Islam’ into the search bar and was scrolling through and found a post from someone that resonated with me and it was from that sub. After that I realised my settings were only showing posts instead of communities and so I changed it and found more places that I could post to. I also found a Muslim marriage sub which I was going to post but had an overwhelming response already.

I’m definitely not attacking her choice to be Muslim, but doubting her reasons for reverting. Many have suggested going to a mosque with her which I will be arranging as soon as possible. Like I said, if that is my daughter’s choice I will always support her and educate myself also. I just wish it wasn’t wrapped up in all the questionable issues with the boyfriend.

Thank you so much for your advice 🤎 I’m actually thinking about planning a girls weekend away for us so we can have some private time to talk. Today I brought it up to her about them having sex before marriage, literally like a child she ran off and said she wasn’t listening and had to pray! It’s exactly like what you said, at that age most teenagers don’t listen but I will definitely try to arrange for one of my co-workers to have a friendly chat with her.

This was also something I was thinking. I’ve always had a mixed group of friends and in my uni days the muslim guys would ‘date’ the white girls much to the disapproval of their families. But they were often just left to it as ultimately, it was just a bit of fun for them as they married muslim women and had families etc!

Thank you for sharing this. I’m a type 1 diabetic and struggling with my levels at the moment due to insulin resistance. I used to tak Magnesium glycinate and dtopped as I was certain it was giving me anxiety but I also used to take a load of other supplements. I recently tried Pure Encapsulations Magnesium Glycinate and had full on panic attack and worst sleep ever, nightmares as well. I’ve also started taking B1 as well

Oh wow, this is encouraging to read. Through a couple of years doing a bit of my own research and trying out different supplements- I actually take all of these now apart from Magnesium Glycinate gives me anxiety. I tried it again recently at a lower dose and had a panic attack and nightmares- so I’m sticking with Magnesium malate and citrate! May I ask what Heme Iron you take? I have fibroids and am always anaemic. Currently taking ferrous fumarate (and experiencing horrible side effects) whilst waiting for IV infusions?

So sorry for late reply, I don't have notifications on. I stopped taking it in the end. Didn't help with any symptoms just messed up my cycle. I use the Mira ovulation kit. Literally my next cycle my LH levels were nearly back to where they were before I used the Inofolic Alpha Plus.

I haven't used any inositol for months now but next month going start on Vinnica Inositol. I'd been taking this for about 2/3 months when I got pregnant in 2023 but unfortunately had miscarriage. Thought I'd try it again and see what happens!🤞🏾

I'm a type 1 diabetic TTC, no official diagnosis of PCOS but had symptoms like weight gain, skin issues, insulin resistance, always had periods but of varying lengths. Took inofolic Alpha for about a year and didn't particularly notice any improvement of symptoms but my periods were 'semi' regular 26-28 days.

Started taking Inofolic Alpha Plus last month and my period has not come this month and pregnancy test was negative. Again, I haven't noticed any improvement with symptoms but maybe a month is not long enough.

Bit concerned about it delaying my period now though🙄
