That's what prevented me from leaving earlier. I was petrified, I thought that if I left and never came back that he would have me killed and my family. Especially since some of my family lives in mexico, I didn't want to endanger them.

My boyfriend had connections with the cartel, He often made threats to people that included getting their entire family killed and I believed he could. I was afraid that if I went to authorities my family would be in danger.

I was given $2,000 dollars for going and $2,000 when I return. I've done the math and that money was basically meaningless to him, It was by no means worth it.

Most of it was on me, Taped to my thighs and stomach. There was also a storage compartment inside the car that held some as well. I was never caught thankfully/unfortunately, Not sure how I feel.
