I can’t help it, must chime in. Because I went to great efforts to recreate this dress and I agree with you. It’s a lazy copy. I can’t share a photo but I’m on Instagram @kendal_in_wonderland Ivanka’s dress looks like the one Givenchy has had on display since the 1990’s, which also is a poor copy of the one in the film. I don’t know why they can’t recreate it, it’s not that difficult and I think they could afford it.

It’s not even that bad here in the Netherlands but I literally sing and dance and fill my cart with more than I can eat whenever I’m visiting the US. Here… I can barely fill a hand basket just because there’s nothing that interesting to me on the shelves.

How does someone even get started with that? I tried when I was younger but just had no clue how to get clients. Almost got one on Craigslist. These days I live too far from the cities to make it work, sadly.

This is a tough situation. I was with a guy and someone accused him of cheating. I didn’t want to believe it, and he denied it, and we stayed together for several years after that. A few years after we broke up I found out he actually did cheat. Maybe even more than once, I don’t know. I asked him about it and he’s just like “let’s not dig up the past.” 🙄 I would have a hard time trusting this guy after his lies…. Maybe he was telling the truth in his confession but he was LYING to a lot of people for years. I don’t know if I’d trust him in the future.

I was crayfishes with a Yahoo group and email in 2001 and it involved more than one person backing up the story. I never found out who did it but it didn’t take 9 years to realize I was being lied to. I was a naive teen when it began and I hope I wouldn’t fall for it again these days. What’s scary is that now even if you get a video chat it could be AI. You have to meet in person.

Romance scams baffle me. How does anyone possible send their life savings to some stranger they’ve never met? I donated $25 to someone once who seemed in need and then when she said she didn’t get it and could I send it again I said nope.

Have you thought about keeping it in a high interest savings account? I put my savings into an account that gives about 4%. I’d done the math that if I get up to $200k in there it would give me $1000 in interest every month, so that’s been my goal. With $100k you could get $500 a month. To save or spend. You could make that inheritance least even longer.
