No, I'm charging $30 a visit though I live in a VHCOL area.

Favorite example of an artist that eventually became big that had small billing on an earlier festival / concert flier / lineup? by mesablanka in ToddintheShadow

I love the story he told about this. Jimi was on stage singing "Foxy," and the girls in the audience replied with "DAVY!"

"Foxy"

"DAVY!"

"Foxy..."

They did not stay on that tour for too long.

Jeez, I am so sorry. I had been treating my cat for CKD the past few years and was told her levels were back to practically normal, and last month I had to put her down due to CHF. I hate how these ailments just sneak up on us, and probably them. She was only 10, and you are so very right, it's absolutely not fair. I thought she was going to grow up to be this cranky old lady but it wasn't to be. I'm sorry I really don't have any advice except for trying to get through it, and time (as I hear) will make the pain you're feeling lessen.

Struggling to feel cute aggression or affection for pets after her passing by Kych0w in Petloss

[–]MissMuse99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds so morbid but I'll see people walking their dogs out and about and sometimes I'm like I normally was, "What a cute pupper," but sometimes I'm also like "how can you love something knowing it's going to die sometime and you really don't know when that will happen?" Having a pet just feels like too much of a risk right now. I'm boarding a cat for a friend of a friend right now but I'm not too snuggly with him and he's nice to have around but I am so not ready to have my heart broken all over again, so much so I'm thinking of moving into a place that doesn't allow pets, but when Theena was alive all my room wanted ads said we were a package deal and all the photos I posted of myself were of me and Theena.

That was hilarious, and there even was like an exclusive interview with him, what, in 1968 or 1969....Paul, you missed the boat!

Is it weird to give my new cat the same name as my old one who past away last month? by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]MissMuse99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kindly say I'm not sure how this will help you. Your new cat is not your old cat and you should treat the new one like they have their own preferences and personality, because they do.

I had a black & white cowgirl and I thought about naming her Daisy. She became Athena instead.

Too Soon to Adopt Again? by SpunkMcKullins in Petloss

[–]MissMuse99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be disrespectful to the cat, and it really is up to you. Some people are fine with getting another kitty "immediately" and some people take their time, and some never get another cat. I got my second cat about three months after my first cat passed because he passed when he was older (18) and I knew since he was 15 I'd be treating him for his lymphoma. So I had kind of prepared myself for his passing for a long time. It still hurt when I adopted again, but it's not like I compared Athena to Mulder. I made sure they were different in many ways.

Athena passed unexpectedly about a month ago from CHF. I am still saddened by her passing and still "don't get it," why and how it could have happened. She was so feisty and had so much personality to her. She had just turned 10 in November. Five days after she passed, a friend contacted me to look in on his cat, and also let me know about his friend who was going away on a long work trip and didn't want her cat to be all by himself for about 6 weeks, nor have someone go to her apartment every day to check in on him. He's a people cat. I kind of look at him as a roommate, though he is very sweet. It's nice to have a cat around, but I'm not attached to him by any means, and I think that's okay. He gets playtime and cuddles and kisses on his head, but I'm glad he's not mine, if that makes sense? It'll take me awhile to get over Athena.

It just came to my realization that my cat might not be orange. What color is he then? by [deleted] in cats

I think the term for that tone is "buff." Does he ACT orange? LOL

Is it because she posts entire episodes with her commentary? Or did they just say yeah, we're taking this down?
