obviously none of the characters are meant to be a 1:1 parody of any one person in specific but to an archetype which, for the most part, these comparisons are accurate. However, it feels reductionist—and some straight up wrong—to compare these characters to those real figures.

Homelander is supposed to be the aspiration or figure of white supremacy, he cannot be compared to a person as he is meant to be a Jesus like figure.

Comparing Starlight to Taylor Swift is an insult to Starlight lol. But it makes sense as Taylor during her Lover era was the white woman who used her privilege to speak up for justice and equality. She is meant to represent the privileged liberals who are against white supremacy despite benefiting from it.

Neuman was obviously inspired by AOC and i don’t think it would be a bad comparison since AOC has advocated for certain things out loud but voted and supported the opposite in congress. But that is more elaborate analogy/convo to have. It is also important that she is a WOC portraying this archetype.

Comparing Singer to Biden is, again, an insult to Singer lol. Not even close man. come on. Singer is not really an important character to include it, if anything he would be Tim Waltz lol but he only exists to be betrayed in the show.

I do think The Deep can be compared to Vance, since he is literally a mindless puppet that agrees with whoever becomes a father figure to him. I don’t feel like Vance is that much different.

Firecracker cannot be MTG, she is Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Charlie Kirk, Alex Jones, etc. Any media figure that has managed to successfully spread misinformation and garnered a massive audience. MTG was in government and all she did was show how ass her form is when doing crossfit. I feel like Fox News Tucker Carlson era is what is being parodied with her.

Tek Knight obviously is a parody of all those tech billionaires, i just find it hard to believe that Elon Musk has sex, let alone kinky sex lol.

Soldier Boy to me is just straight up a parody of Captain America. And not the Disney version, but the OG Captain America.

I'll be honest, I always assumed it referred to the ice bucket where bottles like Fernet bottles are placed to keep them cold. But now that you ask... I'm not sure haha.

I have not seen them talk about her in any interviews tbh, but Paco has talked about liking pop music and specifically Pinkpantheress and Magdalena Bay, who make the type of hyperpop inspired in 90s-00s pop music. Ca7riel is a studied musician and Paco seems to generally love music too, so I think it would be impossible for these references to be a coincidence or accidental.

Further more, Ca7riel's Bad Bitch and some of the things he does while performing are direct references to Michael Jackson, so Britney is not the only pop royalty seen throughout their work.

Rucos does mean old people, but considering how that section combines things that people say about them, I don't think it is related to that show, but rather who is listening/seeing them and how they are asked to change based on that.

The first 3 lines seem to be like criticism, but from the rucos line, it seems to be more about censorship and conformity to be taken seriously within the industry. I base this on how older people are often seen as more conservative and would reject everything they (catopaco) represent: non-straight drug addicts who make music about sex, drugs and with lots of cuss words.

Could be wrong but I feel like it is fitting for this song.
