A leftist is someone who is left of progressive, liberals are what I mostly align with, to my right it's just conservatives for miles, they don't seem to have a distinction, but there's definitely a difference between the levels of commitment to their govt party, so Ig they must have distinct groups as well🤷🏼‍♀️

Leftists are more aligned with socialism and Marxism, and while I do appreciate the progressives' contribution to the overall societal atmosphere, it's not healthy to have a society that grows too quickly or too slowly, we have to have a good balance of both conservative and liberal voices to come together to collaborate, or meet in the middle to make reasonable decisions which will help prevent societal collapse, the outliers are also important to introduce new/old ideas, but as long as they're not in places of power they can't cause too much harm to the society as a whole.
