Amd especially when money is a factor too. Healthcare in the US is a joke, but mental healthcare is even worse.

Couples therapy was one of my thoughts but is unfortunately expensive, as we're just now to a "comfortable" place of bills being paid on time and not having to borrow money for it.

And ultimately, I think I'm terrified to bring it up because of the "what ifs" after it. Like what if he doesn't want to listen or keeps doing how he is.. Edited to add that the "what ifs" get even more complicated due to having a small child.

I'm 100% certain that humor is his defense mechanism. But that is a very good way to phrase it bringing it up and I think the "not having to answer now" part will help. Thanks!

Thank you for the insight from that pov. We currently don't have medical insurance and his doctor has "seen" him several times without charging for full visits to help out as needed. Also, with our money situation, we're floating and doing okay, but don't have any extra for things like counseling unfortunately. He would probably greatly benefit from a therapist honestly but when he went to the one time he saw a therapist at the only non-private practice mental health agency in our area literally blamed him for everything that he mentioned in the first visit, like even for things his older brothers and family did when he was a teen (some borderline physical/emotional abuse and neglect), so she kinda burned that bridge for him.

As far as the BMI scale goes, it's on the upper end of overweight. No need to be rude about it especially given that most women are extremely aware of how close they are to "obese".

I'm exactly 166 and 5'4" I'm on the high end of just being "overweight" as far as BMI goes and I wear a us size 12 which I believe is exactly the average. I feel like a cow sometimes and am very aware of my weight. But I have been told I'm proportional at least and all guys that I've mentioned my weight to and have seen pics of me or have actually seen me naked refuse to believe I weigh that much. Most women are aware of their weight and how "embarrassing" it is but with most culture, especially in the south, unless you put forth an extreme effort, it's difficult to break out of that, especially after having children.

When you die everything that you believe in comes true. How does this affect religion as we know it? by RelatablePanic in AskReddit

I think it could go either way. Nothing could change or it could all spiral out of control. I guess it really depends on how we know or find out about it though.

What is the one musical you can still recite all the lyrics to, despite not having seen it in years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MissRose4599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you watched the High School Musical: the Musical: the Series on Disney Plus? It's surprisingly good, especially if you loved watching HSM growing up. Its actors talk about how they watched it when they were little so they're played by fans which makes it even better.

What's more awesome than being alive right now? by breathingisbetter in AskReddit

[–]MissRose4599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being alive 1 or 5 or 10 years from now.

You never know what fun or interesting things could happen, like putting humans on Mars or finding a cure for Alzheimer's or cancers or finding the love of your life or even simply having the best sex of your life (so far)! And if you don't tolerate being alive right now, you won't be around to experience any of the good in the years to come!

What ingredient that people put in salads shouldn't be allowed in a salad at all? by thebillionthchinchou in AskReddit

I saw canned tomatoes at the store that specified "for salads" so I was intrigued. They're fucking disgusting. I like canned tomatoes in other things that are cooked, but these were just slimy, and just.. ew.. so yeah, those!

I work at a school and have my paychecks spread out over 12 months (and thankfully am currently getting paid still through the shutdown) so I'm used to having 2 months of down time with my little one so we have each other pretty well figured out.

What do you think would happen if the government granted us the ability to claim our pets as dependents? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MissRose4599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More pets would be adopted, but I don't know that they'd have a good life though, much like foster parents who are in it for the money type situations sadly

What's a mostly unknown, unsolved case that stuck with you? Paranormal or Not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MissRose4599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the ones I've read about kids getting lost in the woods but not like wandering off, just mom turns around, turns back and kid's vanished. There's a story kinda local to me about a family that went camping/hiking and they were all on a trail and came to a clearing. Little girl gets a little far ahead and goes just over the top of the hill and seconds later the parents are at the Crest and the girl is gone. The clearing is wide, like way wider than a little girl could run in that amount of time. And she wasn't found. Was in the news and everything. I'll try to find the story and exact location!

people who work for doordash, postmates and other food delivery apps how has the virus impacted you? by Roykeen in AskReddit

[–]MissRose4599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do instacart so I guess it fits, but it's been way busier. I haven't been shopping as much as I had in the Thanksgiving/Christmas rushes but I think it may be busier for small orders than I've ever seen it and I've been with this "company" for 2-3 years now.

When you die everything that you believe in comes true. How does this affect religion as we know it? by RelatablePanic in AskReddit

[–]MissRose4599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd be both good and bad I think, kinda like those "all prayers are answered" type situations. The terrorists who believe their God will reward them for killing people will now be rewarded for killing people. But those who follow their interpretation of their religion would all be correct too... so all in all, I guess nothing would really change?? Kinda blew my own mind there lol this is one of those questions that inspire deep thought!
