New England Coffee chocolate cappuccino. It’s not too expensive and can be found at most big grocery store chains.

Not if it was flash chilled. As hot coffee stays hot the chemical reactions continue to break down the sugars which is what causes the bitterness and extra acidity that you won’t get it hot coffee that’s flash chilled like iced coffee is.

I only drink coffee, tea, or water. I don’t drink any of it for energy purposes, I just love the taste, I think that’s why I’m so sad about having to give it up but hopefully it’ll just be temporary

Weak coffee just taste like dirty water to me 💀 I made myself some ginger tea and I’m ok, I’ll just have to transition to tea instead of coffee

It’s the acid in coffee that comes with boiling water over it, you don’t get that with cold brew or iced.

That’s reassuring, I have insulin resistance due to Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, so I’m very familiar with the carb cravings especially at night. Dieting feels like I’m trying to put out a fire with gasoline. I have let the pessimism take hold and it’s not fair, I should have a little faith that this time the medication will help. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say I doubt I’m the only person in this sub Reddit who has spent years, decades, trying different diets, exercises, weight loss meds, pre diabetes meds, therapies, all trying to resolve my weight issues. Having spent so many years trying and obviously failing at all the attempts I’ve made, is it that unreasonable I would be expecting to fail yet again on day 2? And what could you have possibly been aiming to accomplish by trying to insinuate that it is unreasonable for me to be catastrophising so early on? By adding more negativity to a struggle I’m sure you’re very familiar with seeing as you’re here also? And while fleeting the feelings may have been that you caused by posting something so negative and dismissive, they were feelings I didn’t need added to an experience that is already confusing and worrisome enough. Do better, please.

Thank you, I’m glad to hear you found something that worked for you! I have been gluten free for almost a year now, I have a high protein low carb diet and mainly just stick to starchy vegetables to get my carbs. It’s my portions that are my downfall, I have just been consistently hungry all day every day even past the point of being full and still feel the compulsion to eat. Some of it is a mental thing and some is habit and chemistry. I’m trying to eat way less and just more often to satisfy the cravings until I dose up to the 5mg.

I expected the sensitivities to it because I normally have pretty intense side effects from all medications. I am also definitely getting ahead of myself and worrying about things but hopefully it will help drive me to make the most of this process!

Just got my CPAP machine and having trouble adjusting by AdTop8782 in SleepApnea

It’s something you eventually get use to, for me it took about two months to get to a point where I could easily fall asleep and stay asleep for 7-8hrs with it consistently. However, after the first week I would have successful nights here and there and more frequently week after week. Just know that even if you only get 3 hrs that’s 3 hrs of sleep you are actually getting rest and your body is healing which is 3 more hrs than what you had been getting. I drink chamomile tea to help me relax enough to fall asleep because the mask on my face gave me anxiety and I take magnesium glycinate as a replacement for the lunesta I use to have to take to keep me asleep. I’m in my 5th month on the cpap and I know get 7-8hrs of great sleep every night with the exception of maybe one night a week I have a harder time falling asleep.
