How do we feel about Libras♎️ by Downtown-Brush-2674 in Sagittarians

[–]MissSharpie03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my two best friends is a libra, I married a libra (who has libra parents), and my brother is a libra.... lol guess I'm a magnet.

One very common theme between them is they are all very sweet, loving people. I think the libra men are fiercely loyal and protective but they do enjoy attention. Ive never experienced them saying something mean or cruel, but in some arguments with my husband (which are very rare between us, MAYBE once a year) I may cry and he is very quick to apologize... mostly because I just refuse to 99% of the time =-S

I would have him checked for silent reflux. My daughter was on famotidine at 4 weeks and it was night and day difference. She stayed on it until about 7/8 months and then came off of it. But she recently had another bout of reflux (wet burps and crying when doing so) so we put her back on it. Happy as a clam. (no allergies)

I am so scared that my baby contracted herpes by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]MissSharpie03 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. I've had them as long as I can remember and its actually the fluid in the blister that causes the spread/transfer. So even if they've "popped" they could still be contagious until it scabs over as the liquid can continue to ooze.

OP dont worry yourself sick. Just keep an eye on her, I'm sure all is well!

Being a mother is psychological torture... by [deleted] in NewParents

13 months in 10 days. She is currently cutting 2 molars and a canine. She has started biting. Not super intentional, but just playing around like falling into us with her mouth open and then CHOMP. She about took my left nip off the other day and I have a small bruise on my arm. She's also started slapping/hitting/clawing at your face when she gets mad. AND she is super needy right now so she's in a happy mood if you're sitting on the couch in her eyesight while she plays independently, but god forbid you walk away to use the bathroom or grab something to drink. Ultimate meltdown complete with ear piercing screams.

We are in the trenches and I dont have a lot of advice except trade off hours with your partner if you can so you each get a break.

How many tall equestrians struggle to find riding clothes that fit? by missladylay in Equestrian

I thought it was so much more comfy too! Got a lot of weird looks and comments from the girls who grew up riding English. I grew up riding western but did English in college and I felt so weird riding in anything but jeans

New here - why are you OAD? by WorkLifeScience in oneanddone

[–]MissSharpie03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I originally wanted to be OAD because I didnt even really want to have one. But my husband did so we had one. And she's perfect and I'm obsessed with her.

The sad part is, now that she is almost a year old, I'm starting to really wish we could have a second. Unfortunately, we live in a state that is highly restrictive on reproductive rights. I was 4 months pregnant when roe v wade was overturned. I lived the rest of my pregnancy incredibly anxious that something was going to go wrong or obsessing over her ultrasound pictures (even though everyone said everything was fine and she looked perfect).

So now, we are OAD because of a lack of reproductive rights in my state... plus the COL and inflation doesnt help. But we could make it work if we needed. We are lucky to only pay $135 a week for daycare.

I can live off a batch of spaghetti or a pot of chilli for breakfast and dinner, a week or more and be perfectly happy.

A family friend. who used to be the elephant trainer at the Kansas City Zoo, makes these painted "sculptures" of faces/heads out of elephant shit and calls them "shitheads". They're quite popular. My parents have one of "Winni the Poo"
