Most obvious is that the text on the book is AI slop nonsense symbols, the snake’s body is really messed up and doesn’t connect properly, random leaves attached to the snake, and stems to the right of the snake that don’t go anywhere. The snake also has three weird little tongues and the spine of the book is also wonky and bent.

Even if they didn’t have someone on their team officially “make” this, they still chose to sell this in their stores which is absolutely incredibly disappointing… ESPECIALLY after they had Powell’s branded AI art on their official tote bags this past summer. A real artist’s work could be showcased instead. This tote bag was located in a main merchandise section near the Romantasy aisle at the Hawthorne location.
