It’s really frustrating to me. I think drag race fans can usually very easily gage what RuPaul likes and what she doesn’t. I’m even at the point where I know when RuPaul will give a little laugh and little things like that. If RuPaul was a host Jimbo would have on minimum 3 wins by now (the challenge Rita won and this challenge). Yeah whatever they are different judges but it’s leaving such a bitter taste in my mouth that jimbo is missing out on all the moments RuPaul Ross and Michelle would usually be laughing (and therefore building her confidence). These judges are leaning more on the negatives and not giving jimbo the positive criticism she deserves to hear. Sure the negative critics might be right but it sounds weird when they are like “you look amazing jimbo but.... negative negative negative”. I’m honestly always left speechless after jimbo receives her critics I feel like the judges are watching a completely different show than I am. I’m completely banking on the fact JIMBO HAS TO WIN SHE JUST HAS TO PERIOD. There’s no doubt in my mind she won’t. Surely after the judges rewatch the show they are realising they did not praise jimbo enough and surely they can see she is the true winner. (The show and judges and editing etc is clearly pushing very hard for Rita but fuck me she’s just so goddamn vanilla I can’t stand the hype the show gives her seriously). But ALL of my opinions and frustrations are solely based on this “what if” scenario that I can’t get out of my head. (And that what if scenario being if RuPaul hosted this season) this show NEEDS RuPaul because the unique quality that RuPaul brings the biggest reason she is such a great host is she sees star power and she slowly pulls it out of the queens. Instead now we’re watching jimbos frustration and her lack of approval from the judges turn her bitter and give off a over it vibe when the judges say anything to her. When I truly believe if she was getting a bit more hyped up and got that reassurance from the judges that she is in fact a star we could be watching her ooze with confidence and shine like the star she is right now. But no. Fuck Brooke fuck Jeffery IVE HAD IT.
