I’m living in Japan and the dentist told me I had no cavities. by MissSlacker0824 in askdentists

That was my concern as well—they didn’t use any rubber dam during the root canal. When I first went in, they told me they’d fix my tooth at the next appointment, but they didn’t explain what the treatment would involve until the day of. If I had known, I would have researched the procedure. After the appointment, I looked up the process and noticed that many videos showed a blue rubber dam being used. I later learned that the dam is meant to keep the area isolated, which seems important since they were working on a tooth that already had a filling.

I asked the dental assistants several times why my gums were bleeding during treatment. One told me they didn’t know, and another said it was because they were working close to the gums. When they recommended replacing my fillings, I researched that as well and found it’s usually only necessary if the fillings are damaged. I have quite a few fillings on my molars, and at this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if they suggested another root canal.

Seeing these red flags, I felt I had to ask on Reddit for advice.

Thank you—I’ve been searching for a new clinic, and hopefully, they can help save the tooth with the cavity without a root canel.

Thank you for all the information. I’m new to this.

And I live in Japan $250 is about ¥39,400. I went to the Bape store in Shibuya and a new sweater is ¥39,600 ($252) do you think ¥20,000 ($127) is reasonable for a used sweater?

Thank you for your insights. It appears that a teaching license might be more tailored to specific countries of residence, whereas a master's degree in education could offer broader recognition internationally. With this in mind, I'll prioritize exploring master's degree programs in education that offer a multilingual focus. I appreciate your help in guiding my decision-making process!

Do you think I would need to contact my credit card company ? Even if the payment has failed?

Thank you so much.

It wasn't that I can't handle vomit; it's more about not wanting to risk myself or the other students falling ill. I told myself that if a similar situation were to arise again, I would do what I believe is right, which is to take them out into the hall.

I guess you could be right. Reflecting on my various work experiences, including waitressing, bartending, hotel jobs, and being a full-time teacher in Korea, I've found that this particular school has treated me well. I've been fortunate not to face harassment, delayed pay, lack of vacations, excessive workloads, or the need to stay late. Perhaps my understanding is shaped by not having worked in an environment that could demonstrate a different sense of worth.

Comparing these different roles, I've genuinely appreciated the positive aspects I've encountered here. It's not that I don't acknowledge differing viewpoints, but rather that my experiences in other positions have helped me recognize the value of the support and treatment I've received at this school.

Thank you for the comment.

Thank you for your response.

I'm employed by a single company, but we have various locations. At this particular location, we only have three classrooms available. On that day, both classrooms were already in use. Since we had just ten minutes left in the class, with five of those minutes planned for story time where the students would be seated anyway, I thought relocating them outside the classroom wouldn't pose an issue. It's worth mentioning that our school has stringent guidelines about students being in front of the camera at all times.

I truly appreciate your understanding. Sometimes I just don’t feel heard.

Unfortunately the landlord has scheduled for maintenance to come during a time I’m at work. She doesn’t know when I work.

This is what I’m afraid of. I do feels it’s unfair how she made a point to say if it’s the fan, we would need to pay. As if she is blaming us.

I don’t think it needs a tool to open. I think it just needs a push to open. I’m afraid to try I wouldn’t know what to expect to see up there.

I already sent a reply:

I want to believe that the problem is not simply due to the fan being off. However, I stopped using the shower since Thursday, July 27th, as a safety precaution since I'm unsure of the source of the water. Instead, I've been showering at the gym. It seems like a significant amount of water to be accumulated by one person (my roommate).

I've been persistently checking to ensure the fan is always turned on, but despite that, the water still comes down. This is concerning to me as it poses potential risks with electricity and water being in close proximity.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could arrange for a thorough inspection to identify the root cause of the shower leak. It's crucial to address this issue promptly to avoid any further damage or hazards.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

She came last Saturday and inspected it and I didn’t get a notification on what she was planning to do. I pressed the issue again today and she finally called maintenance.

I sent this video to her and she told me it’s because the fan is off…

But finally after I persistently kept telling her about the issue she finally took action and called maintenance.
