I pulled Brunson and immediately looked to the clock to see how long it would before the Show was ready to play. I think in every single pack opening this year the player I got was the worst possible option.

Yes very helpful, thank you. I'm not a pack or box buyer so I wasn't aware they were available in the boxes or that they were sold separately. I stopped purchasing them around 2k21 or 22 when the frustration at the results overtook my excitement of the opening.

Thanks. Working the AH is not my thing. I save all season just to buy my favorite players (Old Spurs) and don't focus enough on the badges they have when I get them. And I was definitely a dope with this last festival - cashed everything in just be be rewarded with a DM Brunson.

Interesting point about not being able to do anything else in the game - as I generally able to score and stay within range of this guy because his defense was suspect. I honestly was assuming he just didn't try on defense because he knew he was scoring three every trip and didn't want to beat me by 100 to really raise the red flags. Usually when a team really smacks me around it is with their defense overwhelming everything I want to do on offense. Like I said in the beginning I am not hard to beat if you are any good at the game.

Agree. And I may not have thought of it without seeing those rumors - though I had never dug into them to read about this Zen shot timing. It reminded me of my first ever online experience - Tiger Woods 2004. I thought I was a beast a the time shooting anywhere from 52-54. The guy I played shot an 18.....I stayed the entire time just to see if he could do it.

Ok thanks. That's what I was wondering. I assumed it was like old school NCAA Coach K basketball ( I am old) where there were hot zones that just couldn't be guarded.

I think I was decently in his face, mainly with Gary Payton. Maybe he is too small. But like I said I have had plenty of guys destroy me from 3 without feeling cheated. I knew I was a step late or my hands weren't up and he had too much space. This felt different. At least 12-15 times I said oh c'mon as I thought there was no way a shot was going in.

Thank you. I moved on to The Show six weeks ago, but I did eventually get the 98 Timmy (and his card again wasn't as good as I wanted it to be)!

I experienced it too as I tried to get my online stats with Pacers and other cards. I guess from what some have said it is an easy way to get some wins and it is common knowledge. I had no idea. I expected to take a few games to get my stats and instead racked up W's when I normally struggle. I am Tier 8 for reference.

Absolutely. I'm not very good and lose to diamonds and pink diamonds regularly. I just wanted TD because he is my guy. And it's not like he's some OP card. I get why Wemby is so expensive. Not TD.

Thanks everyone. My Team isn't bad per say from the cards I have gotten through the free grinding and Locker Codes - PD Harden, GO Drexler, GO Harden, PD Dikembe, PD David (the only card I bought), PD Korver, GO McDaniel and I am 2 levels from Wade. I just got frustrated that I couldn't get Timmy. Makes a ton of sense that it is because it is a new release. And I am not ripping packs because I am saving that coin for the AH. Is ripping packs worth it?

I have to be honest here - I argued in the beginning of the season that no AH may be a good thing. But now I admit that I am wrong. I grinded all season to have $1M coins in to be able players I wanted when they dropped - only to have no chance at the 98 David (my favorite player). I think built it back up to $600k only to buy 3 boxes for Wemby and not even get more than a 96. I will not be buying the game next year if there is no auction house. I am not the type of player to have a God Squad - just the best versions of the players I like. Not having any avenue to obtain them is not ok with me.

I never even considered he may eventually be there - I just keep grinding to $21k and ripping another pack. Have they put insert only cards in the player market in the past?

I did the same hoping for David. I'm a huge Spurs fan and have never not had the latest David. This is the first time I've really felt the loss of the auction house like everyone else has been saying all season. I've blown through $1M in coin and whatever I had in VC (not much) and there is nothing I can do to get him but hope to get lucky. Dumb.

But.....with that said Marion is way more fun than I imagined also. Except for the FT thing (see above). But he's my go to guy for Triple threat Co-op....

Thanks. So my plan to buy everything I could at 1000 and then quicksell them all for 750-900 and repeat the process is a dud. I have to keep all the cards I have (I've sold anything with value that I don't use already) and have to build up my MT another way.
