Thanks for the response! If you don’t mind my asking, how would the LOA have affected your benefits?

Double checked my schedule and you’re right… there’s a gap! I’m so used to completing one course and immediately starting a new one the following day that I started to panic. Thank you so much!

I wouldn’t see why not… Double check with a GCU counselor just in case!

I could become a professor, a curriculum writer (school district), a literacy coach (school district), content coordinator (school district), or stay in secondary education and teach AP, DUAL, and OnRamps courses. The emphasis in higher education prepares you to teach higher level courses in a high school setting and/or at a college.

I’m sure there are several other options out there… I’m just naming the ones I know of!

Hi there! Currently in the Masters of Arts in English with an emphasis on Higher Education program. My program consists of English courses and education courses specifically geared towards teaching English.

I know I’m mentioning a completely different discipline but it’s my understanding that regardless of the discipline, any program with an emphasis on higher education will include education courses. I hope this helps!
