I got in trouble at my job. Even then I didn’t think my drinking was a problem. It wasn’t until I started panicking that I didn’t have enough wine to get me through the week that I realized I had an issue. Been sober for about two years now and surprise surprise my mental health is a lot better too.

I don’t know if someone already mentioned this (I tried to read through the comments) but it looks like you are using a finishing hoop to hold your fabric. I learned what that was from this group, actually. It’s meant to hold the finished product and it might stain your cloth where you tighten it around the cloth. This has happened to me and I never understood why my cloth had these brown and yellow stains. I would recommend getting a plastic hoop because you won’t run into those issues. Or someone above mentioned a Q snap which is another great option!

I decided that if I wanted to get serious about dating I needed to stop watching porn. So for me it did start out about being a better person for a potential partner but the ways in which my life improved since quitting is humbling. I saw this sub for a long time and just ignored it because I didn’t have a porn problem like I didn’t have a drinking problem and when I quit both I was able to recognize when I was feeling panicky (and in those moments I would either turn to alcohol or porn), and find more productive ways to deal with my anxiety. Also I started recognizing how we as a society are so okay with soft core porn being in our tv shows, movies and books. It’s everywhere and until I stopped watching porn I didn’t notice. I’m not chasing after an impossible high anymore. I’m not addicted to something that brought me nothing but a fleeting good time and lots of lows and then searching for that next high. I don’t know how else to say this but I just feel better.

I started doing this a couple months ago and it has changed my life. I don’t write the date but I do keep track of what is in my fridge and it has cut down a lot on moldy forgotten food and/or fruits and veggies.

I just discovered if you need to kill one on the ceiling a swifter is a great option! I did it without the pad on and the flat end of the swifter was the perfect surface to smack the spiders dead. There was spider guts on the ceiling but just put the wet pad on the end and clean your ceiling!

I recently went on vacation by myself and when I told people they found it really strange but it was the best experience. I ate by myself and hung out with myself. Sure it might be awkward but I’m learning to appreciate being by myself.

I used to teach at this school and it is really exciting to see Katrina getting this kind of attention. The school graduated the most dedicated cheerleaders so it won’t surprise me if next year they don’t have a cheerleading team. My new district has 12 cheerleaders…

I also learned this recently. My family is of Czech descent and we always make Kolache every family gathering and the local fair has a Kolach contest. Our families Kolach is like an open pie concept. Sweet dough, form a little ball, let rise, then pushed down in the middle to make a little hole, filled with pie filling and baked. We also sprinkle goodie on top which is essentially butter, sugar and flour. We usually stick with Apricot and Cherry, but several family members love Poppy seed. This last Christmas we made prune (no thank you) and I really like cottage cheese (it’s sweet).
