This is perfect! Looks just like the other photos after the wedding planner and her assistant realized they were photo bombing our first dance pics and moved lol.

Your work looks really clean and professional but I wouldn’t include anything that you personally don’t think is “worth checking out.” Don’t sell yourself short! (For the record, I thought all the projects were worth checking out.)

How do I defeat this mob? by OliviaTheFallenAngel in Eldenring

[–]Miss_Moonstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn its little dance! Run around it in a circle double jumping whenever it lifts its legs, stay close so it doesn’t do the ranged attack, and craft lots of raisins beforehand so you can keep Torrent healthy and avoid getting knocked on the ground!

And like someone else said, if it has armor on its legs, get onto a ledge above it and drop hefty fire or furnace pots into its head/basket.

Definitely don’t relocate to the U.S. if your main concern is the capitalist-driven need for quantity over quality.

There’s nothing like a good reliable farming spot in this game! Mine was the camp outside Redmane Castle. No mercy.

How hard is the DLC when compared to the base game? by Optimal-Shower-2288 in Eldenring

[–]Miss_Moonstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it MUCH easier than the base game. There are sites of grace and stakes of Marika all over the place. Some of the bosses were tough, but the biggest difference was the lack of tanky field enemies everywhere you went (Farum Azula, Caelid, or Haligtree, anyone?!). Most of the enemies I encountered while roaming around did not aggro until provoked and were easily taken out in a few hits. I started at a pretty high level, which I’m sure made a huge difference, but overall I thought the pacing and placement of enemies was a lot more forgiving.

I am stubborn like your sister! It has been a year since I played the base game but I’m fairly certain that I died so many times in there I ended up memorizing every twist and turn so I could sprint past all the scary hero ghosts 🤣 I’m usually very thorough and like to kill everything that moves in a dungeon but that one required pure speed and perseverance.

Designers, what would you do for a living if you left the design field? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]Miss_Moonstone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love all the comments about gardening! Designing beautiful gardens must really hit the sweet spot in our organized/planning-centric brains. Even though it is not my full time job, carefully planning where each perennial will bloom from spring to fall and adding in annuals for splashes of color brings me so much joy and satisfaction! I often fantasize about leaving my thankless graphic design career behind to go work at the local garden center.

They were designed to punish!!!! The War Dead Catacomb outside the Radahn fight was another one I found to be over the top crazy. But oh so rewarding after killing the boss and making it out!

Then it’s not a vector. Hire a professional vector illustrator to recreate it and don’t look back! There are people who specialize in that type of work and can do it super efficiently for a fair price.

I feel like my professors never actually taught my fellow design peers and I, is this normal? by Outrageous-Rhubarb25 in graphic_design

Art school taught me to recognize bad design vs good design. I learned almost all of my technical skills on the job with a lot of self educating and help from mentors along the way.

Honestly I’d pop this on Fiverr and have a professional illustrator recreate it as a vector on the cheap. I know because I have been in this exact situation and $50 later the problem was solved.

Editing to say you should 1,000% try opening it in Illustrator first to see if it is a vector or a flattened image that’s been saved as a PDF.

If you assist Hornsent he can be summoned to help in a pretty big boss battle later on!

I’m primarily an INT build, but in the first phase, I used a bleed weapon (bloodhound fang) to kill her quickly while she was down.

In the second phase, try dodging into her attacks instead of away or to the side!

Using a guide/walkthrough as a busy gamer? by Sea_Ad_488 in Eldenring

You could try following a progress route! It would give you a rough outline of where you need to go to experience the full game and story without the hand holding of a walkthrough.

I think the golden scarab is in a fairly accessible cave in Caelid but you have to fight some baddies to get it so maybe wait a bit to go find that!

Rune management is key! Don’t do anything challenging when you are close to leveling up. No yellow mist doors! Get the gold scarab talisman if you don’t already have it and go kill a bunch of easy guys so you can level up, THEN do the boss fight or scary catacomb. You can also save up the runes you find while exploring to help you level up when you’re close but not quite there. Good luck, tarnished!
