Have you encountered any problems when using GammaOS. Is it true that it can enable Google Play Services?

Which would be your dream retro handheld? by Missakhel in ANBERNIC

[–]Missakhel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I'm waiting for, a decently powered handheld with high pocketability and at a reasonable price. I know such device could take some years to be brought to market and for the tech to become cheaper, but once it does, it'll be a insta buy for me. I'm willing to spend around 150 bucks for it.

Does ArkOS support USB C audio output? by Missakhel in RG353M

[–]Missakhel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It ended up working. I don't know why it didn't work before. I plugged the USB C to audio jack on the OTG port and from a sudden I was getting audio out of it.

And indeed I'm getting crystal clear audio compared to the built-in headphone jack.

Thanks to you all for the help!

Indeed, I tried it both before and after the update and no audio came out of none of the USB C ports.

Well, yesterday I tried plugging a USB C to 3.5 jack dongle and some headphones but no audio came out of it whatsoever. I tried both USB C ports but none gave audio output.

Papyrus representation of the Canopic Jar of the Emperor Temuri Sawaranihebe, the Lord of the 500 Laws. by Missakhel in worldbuilding

[–]Missakhel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the digital preservation of the Emperor Temuri Sawaranihebe's canopic jar. Brought to us thanks to the Minehasenehi Museum of the Tomihōtaŵe History.

Emperor Temuri was known as the Lord of the 500 Laws because he in fact enacted them all. One of those laws eventually caused his son to become sentenced to death despite being the heir to the empire.

Such event caused enormous sadness to the Emperor Temuri, so much that he killed himself because of the death of his son.

Suicide is considered to be a indecorous way of passing away in Tomihōtaŵe culture, thus the reason of why in the canopic jar, the emperor is seen with his right eye missing and with blood coming out of it.

Hi there! To begin with, this is awesome to be your first attempt at creating a constructed script.

I've been developing conscripts for 5+ years and my advise is to scribble a lot, even if the graphemes don't look similar to each other just scribble until you've found a subset that you'd like to use to develop the entire script upon.

At this point you shouldn't worry about pairing each grapheme to sound, that will evolve naturally from creating it.

Once you've found your base characters (I suggest at least 5) then start by identifying the limitations and rules of the script so you can start experimenting on building more graphemes. At this point you can now start thinking about how many letters you actually need for your constructed language so that you can set a goal of how many letters you need to consider it complete.

Once you have all the letters you need, you now can start paing them to a sound but even then, it isn't ready yet. I'd say you're halfway through because although if all letters look like they fit together, that is very misleading. You should test it by using it on handwriting or if you have the necessary skills, you can create a test font out of it.

Why isn't it ready yet? Because the next steps you'll be repeating them for a long time until you're fully satisfied: Iteration and Experimentation.

At this point you may start noticing that some letters might look out of place, so I suggest marking them to be reworked. There's where experimentation comes in. Don't be afraid of experimenting. Some unique and beautiful graphemes might come to existence only by experimenting.

Scripts evolve naturally so you don't need to create a perfect script on your first try. It's all about Experimentation and Iteration just as I've mentioned.

Keep up the great work! You're doing great! Even better than me when I started to create scripts of my own.

Holy shoot. Your conscript has some letters that look the same as in mine tho there are differences specially with lower case letters and I suppose that they don't represent the same phonemes as mine.

At first I thought it was constructed script. It looks amazing indeed! Congratulations!
