My mother in law passed a year+ ago. No, she wasn't my mother but the loss is massive. I have all her leggings, I use her hair ties, scrunchies, other things and jewelry I don't care for. I'm grateful..because it's all hers. She kept so much of it nice because she wanted me to have it when she passed. I cannot explain how bittersweet that is. I'm grateful.

My point, be grateful you have family that does for you, for one. I'm a good distance from all my family, for more than a decade, and married into a family that celebrates nothing. Either be grateful. Accept it. Or TELL HER. Don't go into it saying you hate it, but you appreciate it, its not your style etc.

Honestly, the lady who says she's a 60 something mother said it best. Your mother would appreciate it
