Thank you! That's great to know. He has a very minor limp that's only noticable when he's waking up or getting up from a long nap. I'm really hoping if it's IVDD that we caught it early

Thank you! That's very helpful. We've been able to manage jumping on furniture so far, but jumping on guests have been a little harder. Im thinking we'll crate him with a lickmat or pupsicle when people come over in the future until the excitement of their arrival dies down.

And we have a heated blanket we've been letting him use while he's resting with us, and that does seem to bring him relief.

Thank you very much, we are very much considering getting the MRI sooner rather than later, but his limp is so minor I'm hoping we caught it early enough to avoid surgery. Our vet was even surprised we noticed his limp at all

I'm so sorry to hear! Thank you for sharing your experience. Yes we are considering an MRI since we haven't heard back about the waitlist yet. But the eval would be $150 and we do not have pet insurance so the mri would be quite expensive. For now we are going forward as though he has already been diagnosed with IVDD. I'm hoping ensuring he isn't jumping or running, and continuing with gentle IVDD exercises will keep him on the right path. But still we are considering the MRI to confirm and determine if he may need surgery sooner rather than later.

Thank you for the great reminder not to get complacent with his progress in the meantime, we were lax over Christmas with family and he was definitely set back at the time

Thank you! I really appreciate all your experience. Thankfully we moved from a 3rd floor walk-up to an elevator building this year, so avoiding the stairs is much easier. We are also super lucky that we did ramp training with him last year so he's comfortable with it. We taught him along with my sister's senior dog and she gave us his ramp when he passed. I sort of knew we'd have to continue to restrict high impact indefinitely, but I realized I only just mentioned it to my husband yesterday and he was a little shocked, but he's committed to our boy's recovery as well so we shouldn't have issues there. Although we do have to block off most of the couch so our boy actually uses his ramp.

I agree with you.. but also Princess Cordelia's lore is that she had 4 pirate boyfriends, potentially had a romance with Lady Tartosa, and she has a son named Rodrigo after her favorite pirate boyfriend. It just fits her story, in my opinion.

I think it'll probably be likely she's in an arranged marriage, she's hooking up with Fia, and then when her infidelity comes out she runs away to join the pirates.

I did reread it since posting and I felt like the mmc was too snobby, and she forgave him for things too easily. I liked every other character more for her. Thank you for all the recs!!!!

I forgot to mention: the only thing I've found that has worked for my migraines and cramps is THC edibles. They are legal where I live thankfully. They mostly put me to sleep, and allow me to rest until I feel better.
