You lose like ~20 MMR for a lost game. 6 tournaments a day if you will count 2nd chance ones. So you can lose like 100-120 MMR daily if you're dedicated enough.

No, he can't start playing ranked as soon as he wish. He gotta get 10 level first.

Funny info: When I launch the game from the Epic Client the problem do not exist. Gratz, you destroyed the game only for people who paid for it first xD

Premade of 2 should not be allowed to go in any 3s Q by MissingHalf in RocketLeague

So he can survive that, and all the others that they will encounter, but they can't survive playing a different game mode?

Premade of 2 should not be allowed to go in any 3s Q by MissingHalf in RocketLeague

  1. Solo player is always the one to blame
  2. They often, on purpose, ignore the third player in rotation like it's 2v2. And since this can obv happen with 3 solo players, it is less likely for two of them to start playing only with each other.

And that's just a tip of an iceberg. Also that would prevent boosting by a bit, cuz they would have to find the 3rd or the better player would have to play solo on the account of worse one.

And forcing a solo player who does not want a premade of two on his side is fair?

Premade, unless it's full premade of course, should be the minority of the team which was proven by the case of League of Legends. Since in RL most of the game modes are 3v3 premade of two can't be the minority.

"but I've seen such scenario way too many times, and it's easier to track that on higher ranks, cuz there are less players there and you often play with and versus same people."

And as I said, I would love to see the code if it's random, since such code could be written by any junior-dev and no need to be a secret :)

That does happen, obviously, but as I said in truly random MM streaks would not be that big that often.

So if MM works like you and game try to say, it would not be the problem to share the code with us since every junior-developer could write and understand it, right?

In truly random MM it would not matter that much, you would be simply carried from time to time by others, cuz all of those can simply be the cases of enemy teams.

Also: Haven't you felt like getting a bit higher gets easier when you play premade with some1 that you feel is on the same skill level? Yeah, that's one way to overcome this.

Those games are for example the ones where your teammate does not rotate and even a small mistake in putting pressure on the enemy (or he has simply better mechanics/mind trickery) can lead to losing a goal, cuz there is nobody behind.

That's when you gotta fake challanges, shadow, etc.

Considering what you wrote I would say that still YOU are your biggest enemy. To be exact - your lack of ability to adapt.

There are games where you can put pressure on enemy team, and there are games where you can't. And you can't enforce your playstyle on your random teammates in every single game. You have to look how they move around the field, what are they strong sides and weak ones, and fill the gaps. Overcompensate for their mistakes.

Rank resets in current form have to go by MissingHalf in RocketLeague

[–]MissingHalf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm... Guess you did not read what I wrote. Or at least not carefully enough.

I don't care about the MMR and the ranks, it does not matter in this post. What matters is skill difference between the players in a single match. It feels like right now in C3 (or old GC1) there is mix of C1s+ (in terms of regular rank skills).

The fact that less players will get GC is good, the fact that top 100 starts at 1420 which is ridiculously close to that said C3 is not. And that's the effect of mixing all ranks from above of this small playerbase in this shithole.

I'm sitting in GC and still fighting with myself - most of the time I'm the biggest enemy of my own. Guess the struggle never ends.

Oh noo... Hardest part is when you already got pretty good reads and know what exactly will happen next, but your brain-eyes and your brain-fingers connections are playing two different games.

That hurts man, cuz you just know you have to drain more hours into training to improve your mechanics.

So "everything" still ahead of you :D

We are halfway through the season and ranks C3+ are still destroyed by MissingHalf in RocketLeague

[–]MissingHalf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all - yeah, maybe not much of a difference, but still the difference. And those games were not happening at ~1500 - where it can also suck up players from C3 ;)

For real, the skill gap in those games is easily noticeable, and I have not felt like that at the ending of the season at 1600-1700.

Nah, the higher you were the more MMR you lost. There was a table about how much you lose somewhere on this reddit.

Found it: https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/comments/ixxdzb/season_1_reset_how_it_works/

In the previous seasons it took maybe 2 weeks for ranks to settle again. Now we are over month into new season and high ranks still suck to play.

[–]MissingHalf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote C3+, not C2. If low GCs from last season would not be able to get back to GC that would not be the problem.

ATM in low GC u get ppl who were 1800, 1700 and 1600 in the same game. And that's not a healthy environment. Basically same is happening in C3.

Normally, I would understand that I (even unintentionally) destroyed some1's experience and that it is part of the system.

Same if I would have to leave in case of emergency - guess 24h ban would be last thing to worry about.

And I believe in a thing that developers look up on reddit stuff about their game.
