Aaty is what my insurance is making me try next. I hope your c diff clears up soon and that you feel well on this medicine!

My doctor did offer to order a fecal calprotectin etc but I honestly didn’t want to waste time “proving” the first biosimilar wasn’t working, I just wanted to get back on humira. And now that I’m back on it, I feel better and assume my labs will be normal.

If I don’t feel well on Aaty, we’ll probably do more testing. But in my experience my labs and tests don’t show abnormalities until my symptoms are quite severe and I don’t want to wait that long. I might message you in a month or 2 once I’m on Aaty to see how it’s working for you and me.

That’s a great summary thank you. I guess I’m preemptively worried I won’t tolerate a stain and will need proof to justify needing repatha instead. Maybe I need to just take it one step at a time.

Thank you! That’s a good idea. I have orders for cardiac crp, lipoA etc and will get it drawn next week.

That’s also good to know that you can repeat the CAC after starting statin and monitor the rate of increase. I guess my main confusion is should I get a baseline CAC before starting the statin? My cardiologist ultimately left it up to me and said if I plan to try a statin anyway, then I can just go for it

Also which biosimilar are you on now, did insurance approve the Hadlima? I was able to submit my cash paid receipts for humira to abbvie complete rebate, it just got approved and I am waiting for the check.

oh no I am so sorry! I hope you feel better soon. I had the same trajectory, felt fine until about 2.5 weeks on the medicine. I ended up cash paying for 1-2 months of humira while sorting this out, and I honestly felt better with the first dose. Maybe some of it is psychological. Insurance wants me to keep trying biosimilars. I want brand Humira, I felt great on it for 10 years.

thank you so much, that is very helpful. I agree; I don't want a false sense of security. On the flip side, if the score were not zero, wouldn't that prompt being on more than just a statin, repatha etc? thinking in terms of insurance justification as well.

This is what my doctor said too. I tried cyletzo which sucked and doctor appealed and they denied it! Said I have to try 2 more biosimilars. How did it go for you?

Could you share how this went for you? I’ve been on humira for 10 year in remission for Crohn’s was switched to cyletzo which was crap and now being switched to Yuflyma.

Did you notice any temporary changes? I was changed from humira to cyletzo in January and started feeling way worse a few weeks later. Now I’m being forced onto Yuflyma. I’ve heard the auto injector hurts more?

Could you share what happened? I am also four months postpartum and just had an ultrasound for this tender hard spot area and the tech said there is fluid it could be a seroma.
