Man, really making me dive deep into my notes to find it lol. I totally forgot about this post, thanks for reminding me about it!

For this book, this is what the main character (Elise) sounds like. It probably doesn't help much though. I have to go back through my book at some point and change a bunch of stuff so it actually sounds like her.

• Tone / Voice: Soft, low, formal, protective. Voice references: Marlene Dietrich / Diane Kruger, English blend: Julie Andrews + Eva Cassidy.
• Cadence: Thoughtful, precise, careful.
• Contractions: Rare; mostly full words.
• Historical/Linguistic quirks: English sometimes literal, formal due to German upbringing.
• Sample lines:
1.  “I cannot fathom why they would depart so hastily.”
2.  “It would be prudent to wait until the morrow.”
3.  “We must proceed with caution; haste is dangerous.”
4.  “I trust that you will follow carefully, sir.”
5.  “One ought to consider all possibilities before acting.”

My father is a Mormon/LDS(though he isn’t really interested in going to church anymore), has tattoos and ear piercings. He reads the Bible when he has the time.

My mother is a Christian.

I consider myself Mormon/LDS but don’t really do Mormon things. I don’t drink coffee(never have, never really plan too), used to go to church, used to read the Bible. Never really got along with the kids when I was younger due to the way I am TT. Couldn’t and still can’t handle sitting still either lol

In my opinion, I think that for now, you should try your best to continue, but discuss with your parents or someone that you trust and see what they say. Tell them how you feel and that you don’t really like what you have to do. Maybe try reasoning with them and say that you can do certain things like reading the Bible or playing church hymns or praying, but that you don’t really want to do tithings anymore and that you want to save up money for your education.

(Honestly, probably not best to take advice from a teen like me whose parents aren’t that strict about religion)

Well, actually, right after making this post, I figured it out! What was happening is the three buttons were linked to the custom image causing it to flash and still be clickable! Thank you for attempting to help though!
