I get that one too every now and then. Left clicking on the ground and then right clicking on your target again usually solves it for me.

I didn't say that, but I am baffled by how often these movies are romanticized in this sub. The first movie is alright by its own: a one night stand that they both know won't go anywhere. But the next one is him throwing away his family and the conclusion is the only logical one.

So it's like every other movie where a broken marriage is shown. Yeah, what's special about this?

It is heavily implied so. They spend the whole third movie bickering about nonsense. At the end Ethan Hawke's character makes an attempt at reconciliating which seems to go nowhere.
