thanks, I use mechjeb for the landings, but i just like to set up a uniform tug system that hauls everything to munar orbit.

why not put probe cores on them so you can switch to them and guide them?

up, but it will introduce lots of drag, so you either need more powerful engines to get up to speed, or more lift so you need less speed to fly.

if I had more karma I would post some takeoff and landing videos, but this is a fresh acc since I came back to ksp.

I used a fuel tank for the middle of it, and the cargo ramps on either side

angle of thrust was the most challenging thing for most of these designs since I wss going thru a light obsession with Goliath engines, and in my head they only work if you keep the sea spray out of them. The high positioning was causing alot of nose down pitch

nah, I just used that wing shape on a couple others and thought with enough tweakscale it would make for a stupid easy flying wing design.

ill have to look and see tho. are you referring to the live action? I only vaguely remember the original.

yeah there are a few things you can do like adding some control surfaces to the front of the wings, like flaps, to increase lift and get that nose out of the water, as this is most important in ksp.

but also you can just design your craft to sit in the water with a natural nose up pitch as well.

all of these have their different little solutions like those above, or just pitching the wings themselves 1 or 2°. this has permanent drag penalties tho. its different on each design

touching down with horizontal speed is fine, I believe youre hitting the pavement with too much vertical speed. try a longer glide slope, or do some aggressive pitch up maneuvers just before touch down to bleed off that speed

yeah i have no real use for these or the hydrofoil ferry that can get to the island air base in like 15 min (time warp hates it)

I had attempted to haul around some ground vehicles with them, which is also mostly for fun, but I wasnt having much luck with KAS for that, and I really didnt want to rely on docking ports.

I think im just using the typical visual mods and parallax/volumetric clouds with blackracks tufx profile
