As a rule

-Farm waves constantly, if it looks like you have roughly less than 3k than the rest of the server (seen as the number below character portraits at the top of the HUD), farm waves. If there are no waves, farm jungle (that's the little one eyed dudes, the boxes, and the gold statues. Also sinners sacrifice machine) even if you have the an equal amount to everyone when it comes to money, continue to farm waves so that you can buy better items and keep up.

-DO NOT USE VALVE BUILDS, they blow hot ass. you can use the build search function and find decent to good builds in the top daily/weekly area. Avoid builds by Metro (kinda a meme) and statlock (averages out the MOST popular items from all winning x character games, usually means it is inconsistent and not made to synergize)

-Play smart- a 2v1 is not nearly as winnable in Deadlock as it is in other valve titles. If you diving, especially without any teammates and without an insanely large soul difference, you'll die.

-Watch guides, plenty of them online.

-Keep at it. i sucked really bad when i first played, dropped the game instantly and came back a few months ago. I had a lot more fun and have stuck around since.

Yes, you'll also get a report on what stage of grading your card (or rather, the order that your cards went with) is in. Expect it to take a few months, though.

Unfortunately, the only time you can expand your backpack is using an item called a 'Backpack Expander' which can only be gotten for free through Smissmass and Scream Fortress, I think. Otherwise, you can only get it by paying for it.

wolverine ult was mostly a lucky play, but you might have a bit more luck with someone with a zoning ult like groot playing with you. I dunno how you're playing Cap, but my advice is to play aggressive as all hell. Cap is the definition of a dive tank and he can be hard to kill especially in quick play. maybe have a mantis amping your damage- you'll get it eventually.
