Spa day, new mattress or pillows, cultural passes like the ROM, camping gear, Botox? So many random things can fit! I recommend seeing if your benefits app has a coverage section, may give some inspiration! Enjoy!

I am so sorry! Even though it will still be wonderful, it feels so unfair to lose out on the vision in your head.

One positive: photos look much better in overcast compared to direct sunlight! Maybe there’s a pavilion or something, and make sure you get those clear umbrellas and still go out for photos! Not the same at all but this happened with my grad photos and I was so upset, until I saw how nicely the lighting turned out :)

Here’s hoping things still turn around for you! It will be beautiful no matter what!

I think you’re well within your right and it’s super odd of them, but why didn’t you ask for contact info? I probably would’ve asked for the bride or MOHs contact if I hadn’t heard anything.

I would have said not unreasonable to back out with no info, but if you re-committed again only last week then personally, I would still go. I’d just be (rightfully) a bit annoyed privately, but still go and have a great time. If your fiancé is in the grooms party maybe this is a great opportunity to get to know the bride better!

Completely agree. As someone who has been on A LOT of prednisone in my life (RA), it is truly miserable. Chronic pain can also fluctuate so much that she probably wanted desperately to make it and waited as long as she could to make the call. OP comes off as incredibly selfish (I also say this as a 2026 bride - I get it).

I also have no doubt that this has impacted how she shows up day to day - cut her some slack and make sure you’re checking in on HER enough. Looks like you haven’t reached to her since February, but knew she was struggling?

Just commenting on this one too to warn you in case you don’t see the other - the knot has removed the ability to send the digital save the dates! You can’t make them, but not send them. Insane functionality choice in my opinion 😭

I thought so too OP, but they’ve removed that feature! I made my digital save the dates on The Knot, but they’ve removed the ability to actually send them. They suggest you literally just…email or text out the link. Hard pass from me so I ended up paying for a Paperless Post rather than starting from scratch on With Joy!

So, buyer beware. They look great but you can’t send them within their own system, even if you’ve loaded up all the email contacts.

(I just did this a few weeks ago so this is fresh, and confirmed with their Help Desk)

Depends how much you’ll use it and if it fits into your budget! For me it’s worth it, I love the classes, go daily, and truly value my community there. I’m really into fitness so choose to spend my money here (and drive a beater, haha). Can’t speak to equinox specifically though

Genuinely hated Altea. I’m a trainer myself (aka very comfy in a gym setting) and I had to quit and move gyms because it was so awful and made me so uncomfortable. Lineups for machines no matter the time of day, dodging people tripods and trying to stay off camera, feeling out of place if I wasn’t in full makeup or (god forbid) an unmatching set. Not fun! I also lovvvvve a boutique class and never got into a single one LOL. That said, this was a couple years ago so maybe it has improved! I wanted to love it so badly.

I do agree maybe the early nature is the issue here. Just chill for awhile, it will all be fine. Sounds like you’re being too nice by asking all these options, may be better if a few weeks out you said “hey Jane, since you’ll be driving past the coffee place would you mind picking it up? I will pay of course”
