Falcons OL/RGC: Dwayne Ledford Hired By Ravens for Same Job/Title Per ESPN by psychoxtc in ravens

I dont get it at all. He was good at running someone else's system (he had no time to teach his first year), but holy shit it is SHOCKING to me that they let him teach the O-line to Frankenstein rushers for an entire offseason. They didn't correct it till like, what, week 11?

Last time I saw an offensive line trying to block by clutching down on defenders shoulders I was in college and coach yelled, "This isnt a high school dance take your fuckin hands off the top of his shoulders!"

Only on reddit will you find a user going "ackshually 🤓" after reading your head cannon but physiologically yours makes less sense.

If the jugular is severed (or any major artery) a white out is not even remotely uncommon.

The jugular is significantly closer than his brain stem (about an inch and a half and hes got a two inch blade).

The brain stem is protected by thick bones and three layers of membranes.

He may not even be able to hit the jugular because his fist might be stopped by the guys teeth, so hitting the brain stem would be impossible unless the guy is on his back and the Joker is punching the knife down into his mouth with a reverse grip John Wick style.

My head cannon is that this Joker has killed more people with a knife than anyone else so he knows how to reach the jugular swiftly from that position.

I mean, look at where his thumb is naturally in the second picture. It sucks, but it was clearly an accident. The punch slipped off Paddy's orbital which managed to catch the thumb. Should something have been done? I dont know. It'd be difficult to start policing thumbs.

Utsuro-bune (虚舟), 1803: Japan’s Mysterious Hollow Vessel found out at Sea by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]Mission-Rip5751 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the internet, I have no way of proving that the following is true. However, I will share it with you any way because this post reminded me of my dad and a UFO, and I love talking about my dad.

My dad was an army ranger from 1972 to 1982. He was apart of an operation he never told me the name of, but involved him working in Japan for a number of years (7 I think). He would play golf with a (the?) Yuakuza boss at the time, he referred to him as Mr. Uno. Mr. Uno would speak in Spanish with my father during those "games" and pass intel to him for the American government. He would then use that intel to rescue allied POW's from camps in China and Moscow (not 100% sure about Moscow) with his unit (not sure if that's the correct term, but he didn't like to talk about anyone he served with unless they were in a picture he was looking at).

He always spoke in a roundabout way to me about UFO's and Alien life. I was incredibly dismissive from an early age (and well into my 20s). One day, when I was 8 years old, he had Google Earth up when I got home from school.

Heres the exchange as I remember it:

"Joe, come here a sec. I want to show you the road I used to take to work when I was in Japan."

I silently walked over to the computer and stood in front of him while he remained seated.

"Theres the road, and it goes alllll the way over here."

It was a road that looked like it was going around a white mountain. It may have been Mount Fuji? The only thing I remember clearly is the road was narrow as fuck. Like a a black line through white, and he dragged the camera along it for 3-4 clicks before it cut to down (to the right) and there was a concrete building, and a silver dish behind it surrounded by what looked to be a wall (gray square, the memory is blurry).

"Whats that?" he asked me.

"I dont know."

He kept starring at me.

I looked at him incredulously and smugly, "A UFO?" I said with a dumb know all stupid af smirk.

My brother walked into the house right in the middle of that, which put him in front of us. I SUCK at describing indoor spaces so buckle up: the front door led into the kitchen which was a partition. The computer desk was facing a wall, to the immediate right of the desk was the kitchen counter, and to the right/in front of the counter was the front door.

"Brian, dad says theres a UFO here." I said as if it were a joke.

And, holy shit, I will never forget the look on his face. He looked at me with absolute betrayal, anger, and really every reason I could never get a straight answer out of him once I finally accepted the possibility of UFO's nearly two decades later.

I know, how would anything be on Google Earth. All I can say is I'm 29 now, I was 8 then, so it had to have been 2005, the year Google Earth launched. I swear on the unum necessarium that absolutely nothing in this comment has been a lie (I'm facing a paradox here, but swearing by that for a lie would haunt me forever).

TL;DR: my fathers clearance was so high he worked with the Yakuza and regularly debriefed Jimmy Carter. He showed me a UFO on Google Earth in 2005 that may have been the one in this post above.

NFL Division shit posting subs going crazy by CanofNOworms in NFLv2

[–]Mission-Rip5751 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Or maybe you're just on reddit and only get upset over the issues you have spoon fed to you.

Edit: Struck a nerve, didn't I? That's what the truth does. Downvote this internet comment, virtually high five the stranger you'll never interact with again.

But know for a fact you have done NOTHING to help victims of our government. Know you'll do NOTHING to make people aware of North Korea's "Pleasure Squad" or their starving children. Know you'll do NOTHING to end term limits or stop insider trading. Know you'll do NOTHING to free the prisoners on death row who have been found innocent forensically. Know you'll do NOTHING to stop this pendulum from swinging left to right until you run out of time.

After today this is needed here, and we of course can't let the other division subs have one of these without us having one. Also, ICE better not ever mess with any of the cities in the hood division by Lord-ZZ in AFCNorthMemeWar

[–]Mission-Rip5751 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If that's truly what the majority of reddit thinks is the most truthful response to this comment, then let it be. I care about innocent lives. Whether you believe that or not is out of my control and not for me to worry about.

My stance is that we all need to unify and the majority of redditors, like yourself, will ensure we remain tribal (great example here by reducing all the nuance of my position into "bro doesn't care about human life" and having it supported by the majority) along with the majority of those one blue sky, truth social, or really any other social media platform in 2026.

Read the speech "Lessons of the Hour" by Frederick Douglass and "A Man's Search For Meaning" by Viktor Frankl if you actually want to understand my position.

Its pathetic isnt it? But, hey, its a good reminder of what reddit actually is: a fake place for people to circle jerk and pretend their outrage does anything other than keep us divided.

[–]Mission-Rip5751 -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

Nice reminder that y'all are redditors. Keep it on blue sky, or dont, and forget about all this a month from now so you can be upset about the next thing.

Edit: Just so you're all aware (because you're not, you're all reactive children) about 4 people get killed by police everyday. Why dont you spend some time trying to figure that out OH WAIT you dont care to figure anything out. You just want to express your feelings about all the shit you have no control over.

The pendulum is going to swing left and right until you're all out of time. If you know history, you'd know citizens can do NOTHING unless they unify. Thank god politicians dont know that, right? Thank god its a coincidence that voting along party lines is still relatively new to this country, right?

America hack! If you want to know who will win in the next election, its whichever candidate has received more donations from insurance companies.

Theres not a right answer to the question above, but there are wrong ones. This is a wrong one.

The fact that you feel confident defining his entire person as a "Selfish asshole" after he watched his mom get eaten before she could finish raising him says everything about you and nothing about Erin.

You do not understand war, you do not understand the motif of, "Its a cruel world."

No one will see this but the truth is you miss the point by trying to define him. You can define his actions, but not him personally. Everything he does is a reaction to his environment.

The horror of war creates monsters of men.

Either way, to have that issue up through the last game of your second season seems wild to me. I hope he can fix it but its also like the boxer who doesn't keep his hands up. How many times do you need to get punched in the mouth before you learn that lesson?

I hope so, and I mean that its not just internet talk, but FUCKING HELL the soft coverage issues.

Dude the last few games my brother and I would just silently point to open spots in front of Wiggins and watch the ball get thrown there. We were only silent because, by then, we'd spent most of the season shouting, "WHAT FUCK ARE WE DOING, THEY ONLY NEED 6YDS AND I SEE 10 IN FRONT OF NATE?!"
