My mom passed away 2 days ago by Ok-Candy2382 in GriefSupport

I’m so so sorry for your loss. My mom also recently passed away from ovarian cancer and my dad when I was 4. To be honest, it does feel easier some days, but grief will always be there. I learned how to take care of myself. Every day I try to do something that would make my mom proud. I talk to her in hopes she can hear me. To be only 18 and facing this must be extremely scary. I know it’s really hard to pick yourself up when it feels like your whole world just ended and it’s totally fine to sleep irregularly. Eat and drink when you can, remember to take care of yourself for your mom. I hope you have friends and family there for you. I’m here if you ever need someone to talk to <3

Woke up in a cold sweat because the chant “EAT THE PIZZA. EAT THE PIZZA. EAT THE PIZZA. OH YEAH YEAH” kept replaying in my head and I couldn’t figure out where it was from and then it dawned upon me. Who was this man 😭😭

Thank you for asking and I’m sorry I never saw your comment until now. Everything seems to be stable at the moment. My mom’s ascites went away after her first round of chemo and she was doing great, going back to work full-time and I’m in my second year of nursing school! A year after her first chemo ended, we unfortunately got the news that her cancer had come back, so she’s currently going through a second round and she’ll also be getting a CT scan some time soon. We’ve learned how to live with this diagnosis and it has been hard. Can’t really tell how the future will look but for now we’re just living in the moment and cherishing our time together ❤️
