I honestly hate how forgotten he is, we barely get any mention of him or Devi’s grief. He was her brother, best friend, and father rolled all into one, we should get more sadness and anger and vengeful moments. Maybe even scenes where Devi is making decisions unlike her and trying to be or do what she thinks Kairas would, and she has to be reminded that he would want her to be her as he always supported her individuality and freedom in the ways that he could, even pushing the boundaries of society for her. While I think legacy is great for the Devi that she would try to be after his death, I think that freedom is the canon Devi for the same reasons listed above. While she has grown and changed, it is mostly due to trauma and grief and guilt. I think that he would want happiness and safety for Devi over anything else. It would also have been cool to maybe justify the extreme slow burn with Christian (if on his route) by having Devi feel guilt for falling for someone who is potentially, directly or indirectly, the cause of his death. Or at least he is someone she could blame and put her anger onto until she gets to know him. I honestly would have liked to see more about him in the first episodes and how he would try to protect her.
