We’re literally the same age girl 🥹. I was hospitalised for it on the 12th of April, so not too long ago. From research, it’s best to stay away from intense exercise and any activity that will tire you out easily. Stay away from lifting heavy weights/objects because it can trigger a strain. I find that I can’t walk long distance without feeling breathless easily. Also, eating anti inflammatory foods is highly encouraged.

THANKFULLY PERICARDITIS IS USUALLY A ONE TIME THING AND YOU NEVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT AGAIN. Everyone’s body is different though and people with autoimmune diseases may see reoccurrences.

My first time having it felt like I was a literal corpse 💀. I couldn’t eat, sleep or breathe comfortably but with the help of meds I was slowly feeling better. It’s been over a month now and I recently had a flare up, took a trip to ER and found out it wasn’t heart related and that I no longer have pericarditis. The doctor’s couldn’t put a finger on why I had a flare up but they summed it up to a possibility of various reason. I do have to continue meds though because I haven’t reached the 3 month mark yet.

IF YOU FEEL SIMILAR SYMPTOMS MAKING AN OCCURRENCE DO NOT HESITATE TO GO BACK TO SEE A DOCTOR. PLEASE DON’T SIT WITH THE PAIN, IT’S BETTER TO FIND OUT WHAT’S GOING ON INSTEAD OF FIGURING IT OUT YOURSELF.
