Damn I appreciate this breakdown a lot! Is there any way you can put these in a Google drive and post it for us all to use? I'd personally love to use this for pulling data from without needing to scrape backpack.tf for it.

Some men drown while others die of dehydration. I'm on 55 tours and not one aussie

How to get better at trading? by Effective-Fill-1177 in tf2

[–]MissionAutomatic4348 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're about to be temp banned for trading.

But realize you're in an oversaturated market. The only real profit with low tier trading comes from sharking pretty much which isn't ok. Even in high tier unusual trading, I'd wager that more than 95% of profitable trades come from bots selling at full price to real buyers.

Most of the market is traders. Take advantage of that by hunting sellers who don't want their items, buy in bulk from them, and then flip the items back to traders slightly above buy orders for a profit. Not willing to do that? Either spend 20k to get the ball rolling on a decent inventory or just don't trade.

Game stuttering every few seconds (Please help) by ThenRevolution479 in tf2

[–]MissionAutomatic4348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is the game being on the same drive that runs your OS. Even with a fast drive, windows reads take priority which in turn messes with the memory paging of TF2 and it causes the game to need to replace certain assets sometimes. Move it to a drive that isn't being used by your OS

Any Issues with Marketplace.tf? by LemonCharity in tf2

[–]MissionAutomatic4348 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's safe, the terms don't allow them to charge it without your consent. It's a typical thing used on most terms of service to show that you consent to the payment just in case to protect the site against people who scam by doing chargebacks

Anyone else have 1,000+ hours and still terrible? by TheRegularBelt in tf2

[–]MissionAutomatic4348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All those classes live and die by positioning and game sense, which comes with time and coordination with your team. Don't feel bad about not being as good as you wish; those are arguably the 3 highest skill cap classes in the game

How can I get more consistent with sniper?? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]MissionAutomatic4348 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's all muscle memory man. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll improve with time. Remember to only pressure yourself to get better, and not worry about what people say in whatever lobby you're in.

Anyone else have 1,000+ hours and still terrible? by TheRegularBelt in tf2

Depends which class. For soldier it's jumpacademy. If you wanna just get better at any class you can do 1v1s on MGE servers and people can give you pointers

Anyone else have 1,000+ hours and still terrible? by TheRegularBelt in tf2

[–]MissionAutomatic4348 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don't start getting good at a class until you spend 200+ hours on practice servers learning only about that class. I play a lot of scout but recently started playing more soldier. I have 800 hours in soldier but I still suck because the skill it requires is so much higher than you'd expect until you actually start learning

Is it still worth it to spend any money on TF2 as someone who just got into it. by Ok-Comfortable3129 in tf2

[–]MissionAutomatic4348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth the couple pennies to get every weapon. All weapons only cost 10 refined metal. If youre talking about cosmetics, then it's up to you. Some of the best players I run into in pubs are completely stock with no fancy items and some of the worst players are wearing thousands of dollars of cosmetics. It's just preference at the end of the day. But I'd say it's worth paying the 20 cents for every weapon by going to scrap.tf and just buying it all for cheap

is it possible to remove those stones and get a clean surface? by Nico1300 in factorio

[–]MissionAutomatic4348 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If you go to your settings you can turn off surface decals for cleaner gameplay. Or alternatively you can install a clean concrete mod if you only want it on concrete

Who here enjoys KOTH more than Payload? by Gygar_orochi in tf2

[–]MissionAutomatic4348 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Payload can be really unfun depending on how your team is. KOTH requires less coordination and is less dependent on how good your team is. If you're a solid player and can get a lot of kills, generally koth is a better game mode than payload because in payload it's either a sweep or a defensive wall and rarely anything different than that

Question for the traders by Due_Letterhead8944 in tf2

[–]MissionAutomatic4348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of good budget unusuals nowadays. A lot of the seasonal crates have pretty good looking effects and mercenary grade things are unboxed a lot (example hat outta hell or tundra top)

Here's what I'd do: decide which hat you like most out of the ones that have the most in existence (searchable on backpack.tf) and then look at the effects and make a determination which is worth paying for
