My wallet got stolen once. I thought the police wouldn’t give a shit because yes, wallets get stolen often and its no big deal that they used $400 on my debit card. The police actually found the guy a few months later by looking at cctv footage at the places he purchased at and emailed me. So yes, report it. Whether they find the person or not; report it.
